Anyone else play revenant wings yet?

Best Game Ever: FF4
Awesome: FF1, FF6, FFT, FFX
Average: FF5, FF7, FF12
Mediocre: FF2, FF3, FF8, FFX-2
Dog Turd: FF9

[Can't be classified: FFXI]

I think my brother bought Revenant Wings, can't remember. I haven't played it though as I'm too busy juggling WotG, WoW, Contra 4, SMG, and Trauma Center 2 right now. I didn't even get to finish FFT for psp yet. :(
 
Perfect: VII
Almost Perfect: X
Good: VI, IX, XII
Not worth ever playing again for the rest of my life: VIII, X-2

and I agree with Rappa that XI can't be classified.


Even if I had a DS, I doubt I'd be playing this. I'm not much for tactic games.

That's EXACTLY the way I see it.

I've yet to play III, V, and VI so I'm biased I guess.
 
Oh yeah how could I leave out VI lol. I'd put it under Great probably.


Guess we're the minority on IX. I thought it captured the essence of Final Fantasy better then all the other newer ones. It had the old jobs attached to the characters. I thought it had the deepest character development. The main Character wasn't all depressed at the time. Alot of summons and crap load of side quests. Great cutscenes and a pretty good story, and the best graphics the PS1 could push.

i would put FFX-2 in with FF9 and take FF8 and put it up with 12 and 5 and take 7 and bump it up to best game evar but all in all i agree with what you did thar

I really liked FF9 too. Apparently it was even Hironbu Sakaguchi's favourite FF game. It did have the element of pretty much all the FF games, and the ending Cutscenes were awesome, especially with Zidane being chased by the living tree.

The only thing that made the game odd... was the villain and his girlish appearance, but pretty much all FF games have something odd in them which makes it unique.

I also don't see why a lot of people don't like FF8. I enjoyed FF8 a lot, and it had great graphics and felt pretty futuristic.

But anyways, since this topic is mainly on FF12:RW :p I played a bit more of this game the other day. It's not too bad, you can walk around your airship and a few other places and talk to people and shop. Most of the time it's pretty easy though unless you get overswarmed with the enemies.
 
how could you say FFIX is dog turd? :| that was prolly one of the better FF. Far better than FF8 and X-2 for sure :P

Because everyone has their own opinions.

How can you really try to impose your own on others?


(PS I liked FFIX.)
 
hehe, I know.. but I agree with the creator almost when he said that FFIX is probably the one FF closest to a "Final Fantasy" as he envisioned :P From playing all the others it seemed to have the most of the themes and felt more "FF" than any other (if that made sense) even if I did like FFVI and FFVII more than FFIX :P it's weird, but it's a feeling soo they aren't really easy to explain XD
 
You all just dont have the mental capacity to know how DEEP FFX-2 was. It will go down forever in history as the best game evar, and it sad to see none of you could grasp its deep deep meaning and mini mini mini skirts

I lol'd :D hehe, to be fair FFX-2 had AWESOME gameplay but the story was so short.. it was 90% minigames and they were dull minigames :| I did like the new game+ :P wish the FFXII in the US had new game+ like FFX-2 and the "final mix" version of FFXII. ah well
 
I liked IX too. I've liked all FF games, even FFX-2 =/
 
Thank god someone liked 6, imo it had a phenomenal story. I liked 4, 6, 7, 8, and 10.
 
Yar, 6 was my fav, although I thoroughly enjoyed 12, that's my #2, everything in it just clicked for me, some may not agree, but eh, I just loved it, I still enjoy the turnbased style, which is why I play the Dragon Quests, Wild ARMs, Lost Odyssey, and whatnot, but I loved that battle system in 12.

But enough of that, Revenant Wings is a fun game, just wish it was longer, I'ma start playing it again so I can beat Yiazmat in Midnights Deep or w/e it's called.
