The graphics card included on that is ranked 1 higher than mine as described here:

I used this site when purchasing my current laptop in comparison to an older laptop I have, that link gives you an idea of how well the graphics card performs.

(Mine is 119, the one in the walmart link is 118)

So judging by that I can very well say yes it's playable, just don't expect to turn everything up to max quality.

To get online, it has a built in card according to your link, so you just simply "get on".

considering i will be using ffxi for simple stuff like leveling my npc, fishing etc.. (cant party while at work) im not too concerned about having hi-def graphics, just something that i wont regret buying because of framerate and color issues. thanks for the response kiki :) im heading out after work today and getting it.

Oh shit if you do get it please test it first and make sure it works (and if it doesn't send it back right away, make sure you keep packaging nice and tidy, don't destroy the box, etc), so you know, you don't quote me or anything if it doesn't, but what I posted is how I picked up my current laptop.

But judging from the specs I really think it will have no issue, but try to make sure it does actually have a graphics card in it before buying (since the site doesn't say) which as someone on that page commented as "Nvidia 8200". But otherwise specs wise my one is some Core Duo 2ghz, whereas this one is a Dual Core 2ghz too, with 3gb RAM.

Vista + Nvidia cards have "issues" but although I believe now it is kinda "fixed" judging that no one really complains about them anymore. The only issue I have with my setup is that the BRD song/Firaga stuff lags me a bit but otherwise it's no big deal to me.

did a little research on the graphics card. although its not great it does sufficiently when playing older games like 2005 release of quake 4 which runs at a cap of 60fps.. since ffxi is a lonely 30 fps from what i read (can someone confirm) it should handle the load quite easily.
