Anyone having a trouble with the Barheim Passage key quest?

I'm having a problem getting the quest to get the key. I can't seem to figure out why I can't start it. All the kid says is his dad left and hasn't come back and the wife is worried. Do I need to progress further in the story first before they will let me do the quest?

Uh, dantros wife will tell you that theres a sick dude shes caring for and give you a list of shit to bring her. You probably need to progress farther.

Ok she isn't telling me about a sick guy, so I need to get past Draklor Lab?

...lol no, you can do it right after you get the dawn shard lol. Have you talked to the two guys near the collapsed entrance to barheim. Not sure but you might have to do that.

Have you done the Flowering Cactoid hunt yet? If so, you have to talk to her husband again, after getting the reward for it, and he'll tell you to give the flower to his wife, that should start it.

Yeah I did the hunt, I got the reward, I try talking to her and she just talks about him missing and unable to leave his post.

Yeah, so talk to her husband (The one who gave the hunt) again, as in, again after getting the reward, lol >.> It sounds stupid, but that's how to trigger it.

Is he supposed to be in the village cuz I've ran around the village countless times and he isnt there. The kid keeps sayin his dad took the ferry across and hasnt come back yet.

Dantro is still at the outpost he does't leave because his replacement hasn't showed up yet.

Go to the womans husband in the outpost, talk to him, go back, talk to her, and i think the boat should be there. Then take the boat, talk to the mother Cactaur, go back, get the kid you killed behind the wifes house, go back, and you should have that part done.

After that i got the little med quest which is just a pain in the ass. Talk to her, go to the shore for the Sem Shells, talk to her, trade the snake skin, talk to her, go to the outpost that's south of that place where her husband is, go back, then take the boat north and go to the second zone north(i forget the name) get the plant that's in the crack of the mount, then back to the wife, zone out and back, talk to the wife, then go behind the house and talk to Jar jar there and you have yourself a nice new key.

Thanks I couldnt remember where Dantro was, I wanted to look at the clan primer for the mark spot on the map but once you finish them you can't look at the map. Thank you guys for your help.
