Anyone know how to use the treat staff?

I have one of these and I cannot figure out how to get the warp to work. I've checked several websites and most don't even say how to activate the latent effect. I've had people say you take damage, I've heard you hit something with it, I've heard you do both of those but only at night. I've had my health tick all the way down to the red without warping. The only theory that I haven't tried is that it has to be darksday, night time and no moon, or something like that.

If anyone can tell me how to activate the damn thing, it would be very appreciated.
 
u have to hit the mob when ur atleast in yellow hp, but the mob has to con EP or higher =p
 
I had it warp me on a too weak in rolanberry once. It just took forever. I think the higher the con, the more likely it will go off.
 
Thanks, I think I was fighting a too weak at the time because I didn't want to risk dying. I'll have to try fighting something after my next party.
 
Chance proc, works on daylight and on tooweak and when you have full hp (not yellow only) but yes takes longer it seems depending on thsoe factors.


Also only works durign holiday event.
 
It does NOT have to con EP or higher and your hp does NOT have to be yellow. Lies...... Just keep hitting a mob and evetually it will go off. Haste yourself first if your whm cause you'll get more hits in faster. If you hit the mob long enough it warps you. When is completely random.
 
ive hit TOO WEAK with it.. and gotten a warp after 2-3 rounds.. personally i believe it triggers based on night/day.. i think at night it works more.. im not entirely sure.. but ive used this on my 74 thf on too weak.. and on my 13BLM on incredibly tough.. and also on my 48RDM on another IT, all three times i got warp in only a few rounds.. but the one constant was that it was night.. <,<

as for it only working durring the event.. we'll see in a little bit when the event stops.. i HOPE it works w/o the event.. else.. im just gunna trash it.. cant keep that many USELESS rare/ex items..

hmm yea, turns out i was wrong. i have had it warp me like 5 times when i was in yellow, and never on an ep. maybe cuz i killed it too fast. but aw well. will it work at all after the evnts over? or just become garbage? same with the pitchfork +1?
 
You have to be a properly baptised Catholic borne with a higher than normal white blood cell count. Then take your level, divide by 3, drop the decimal, and add 6. It'll activate on your swing (not hit) that corresponds to that number.

I think you may have to be naked (irl) for it to work too, I haven't really proven that since I always play naked.
