So, I went to Wal-Mart to try to grab one of those 20" SDTVs for around $150~. However, it turned out that my ex and my kid were coming along too and she was planning on buying some things, so I knew I couldn't fix a box like that in our tiny car. I looked around and finally decided that if I had to grab a tiny TV that I might as well get one of the flat panel HDTVs that look like monitors. Well, it has a VGA and HDMI port, so I guess it's a monitor too. I got a 15.4" Polaroid with only two dead pixels. =/
Now, while I've sort of kept up with the various HD resolutions for video game knowledge purposes, I don't really know squat about HDTVs or about this new digital crap. The TV basically acts like a computer when I configure it. It scanned for analog and digital channels. It found like 8 analog and 4 digital. I check out the digital stations and I'm pretty impressed, except that it just acts like a bad livestream.
Last night I was picking up the stations fairly well with a skip here and there. Today they are acting like I'm trying to watch youtube on dial-up. Are there any new antenna style devices that will pick up better reception for these digital stations? Also, where may I get more information about this new television technology?
