Here is the thing i do not understand. Shaid 'neighborhood watched' this guy. People put in their 2 cents. Some agreed, others didnt. Even sculli posted his opinion on the matter. Thread goes for more pages in a mostly non flame way. Thread gets locked. If it was locked for a reason, can you say why? Can you say what comment it was that caused you to suddenly lock it?
Because Homosexuality does not coincide with the community standards. Just like s*** piss f*** c*** c********* m*********** t*** will no longer be tolerated in posts. Even if you make an "otherwise great post" it will be deleted unless you are A)explaining how to make "the Windsor Knot" B)explaining the theory of Gradient Correlation or C)in the old boy network of QCDN members.

Not that I am a fan of censorship, however, most seem to not understand what "Freedom of Speach" truly entails. This is a private forum open to the public regardless if anyone read the ToS when they became a member. I don't completely agree to the flameboard being removed from this board. I don't see it as being completely bad to remove it either.
There might not have been a conspiracy to the post being moved. It could be that a moderator was asked to move it by the parties involved. That or the fact that as the thread progressed it was not leading up to anything more than a subject that would be better placed on myspace.com.
If you went to a Christian website/forum preaching Paganism you would most likely be banned and have your post deleted or vise versa. Freedom of Speach allows you to be able to have your own website to preach Paganism or Christianity without being subject to imprisonment or other wise. A loose example, although it could be possible that the topic just didn't fit the bill or simply would benifit those parties involved to have the topic removed.

The decision was made to remove the thread because of numerous violations of the QCDN Community Standards, homosexuality is incidently not a violation of those standards and stating or implying otherwise is underhanded at best.
Posts identified in violation of the standards are no longer edited but removed from the public view as a whole. This is done to encourage posters to not rely on moderators to proof-read their posts, but instead accept responsibility of authorship.

i'm sorry if you feel it was incorrect.
to the others who are asking what happened to the thread.... while what sculli says about the community standards applies to certain posts, the overall thread was removed because the thread was very much the discussion of a messy break up, and not so much a discussion of stolen goods, scamming (well, i guess you could say the gender bender thing was... kinda), and the other things this board was designed to document. It was left up for so long, and participated on by mods/sculli because we weren't really sure what to do with the thread at first.
This board is still very new, and what is and is not allowed in it is still being felt out. If Shaidalyn wishes to repost the topic, sans a lot of the emotionality (sorry, i know that sounds harsh, and i am very sorry about how this event has effected her... she knows this, we spoke about it ingame), that is fine. But the bits that were only about their relationship do not have a place here, and ended up being the focus of the thread.
on a total side note...
Freedom of speech/Expression = the ability to discuss any topic, regardless of how contreversial it may be. However the way in which the information is presented may be censored (ie.no f-bombs on the news, etc), and the right is only guaranteed in the public forum (read: not private property). Therefore, Freedom of Expression may be limited within certain institutions (you cannot petition abortion inside a clinic, you must be on public property outside of it). Others have said it before, even in this thread... but i'm going to say it again, with a bit of an addition...
If you like the service provided here, but feel it is too restrictive in some cases, than make a formal complaint, devoid of trite one-liners like "z0mg you are teh nazi admin!", with a persuasive argument outlining why you believe the standards are too harsh for certain situations. Your argument may not be agreed with or implimented, but it will certainly be given more attention than flaunting the incorrect, but ever popular line of "Ever heard of freedom of speech?", and may actually result in a compromise of sorts. Otherwise, if you do not like the service here, and do not have the inclination to state why you have issue with it in an intelligent manner, than kindly leave. Your repetitive complaints do nothing for the content here, and unfortunatly there is no ignore feature anymore, so those of us who are content with the service provided here still have to read your insessant bitching.

I would argue that any post that has any semblance of content is deleted/locked. Shaid's post was probably one of the better ones since the coupe on peoples thoughts.
Locked because they are resolved, not because of conflict with the purpose of this board or broken TOS. all of the locked topics on this board, which is why i assume you are referencing, were resolved according to the OP, and therefore served no purpose anymore. This is not a place where people who have nothing to do with the event, or are only related to it by friendship, can keep a topic alive for 100 pages anymore...

Care to explain why I get my posts deleted that are responses to flames that aren't actually flaming while there are posts with flames that have been up on this board for weeks?
You'll have to bring that up with the mods of the boards in question fire. I, personally, have never deleted a post by you
