I'd say your only real motives for buying this peice for WHM is if you either plan to level SMN in the future, or you have the rare disease known as White-box Syndrome.
On a white mage, this is basically just for show, the NQ is perfectly fine, and if your healing is capped the extra little bit of mnd wont make much difference to your cures.
I'd say you did the right thing by buying the antivenom earring, that is indeed a snazzy earring, I'm hoping to add it to my SMN's list of gear when it can use it. Good choice!
