Appropriate Poll? What do you think?

I'm writing a report paper for my science education class on school reforms and all that other fun stuff (I want to be a science teacher some day ^-^) Anyways, one of our subjects for writing our paper is to take a poll on what a large group of people felt about education. I thought about asking people at my campus, but everyone here is well... so local. I thought it might be more fun asking a large group of people who I semi-know and who live all over the country and even the world. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone would feel like I was abusing the fourms in doing this since a similiar issue has been brought up in my class by a girl who was abusing our class's "phone tree" for trying to sell us stuff x.x; Anyways I wanted to get an opionion before asking the poll

A number of other people have posted polls for class-related subjects, or links to where such polls could be taken. All of the ones I recall were well-recieved. I say go for it.
