This is meant as a public service announcement.

My roommate got this the other day, and the voice acting is atrocious. You all know how tolerable I am with English voice acting, I've enjoyed almost every Anime/Games that I've seen in the last several years, with very, very few exceptions. This is one of them. Every... single... line of dialogue is almost completely without emotion and delivered like they're reading a grocery list. The rare times they do have inflection/emotion in their voice it's the worst possible spot in the sentence or it never fits what they're actually saying. It's not even hilariously bad like the Castle Shikigami series is, it's just painful to listen to.

We're waiting on an UNDUB before we actually play the game. We literally stopped at the first available save point and stopped. Hopefully the game doesn't suck as much as the voice acting.

Oh, and just to stop any of the retards whining about how much better the Japanese voice acting is than American voice actors; pretty much all of the reports are that the Japanese voice acting is just as bad.

After 30 hours, the VAing actually sound decent, to me *maybe because english isnt my first language*

its turn out the game is fun to play , also the bosses so far are no pushover i got 5 game over so far ... and some area don't have save points before the boss and one of them use a cheap tactic , Petrify Breath on the 1st round , you can say this game make you use defense , which cut the damage down to somewhat 70%

in-case you dont like the VA you can turn it off , but you may not know if the boss going to do his killer move or not , i say give it a chance and try it

That's what we're doing. The game seems good, but the voice work is terrible. That's all I said in my first post, and that's why we were going to grab an undub, so we could enjoy the game without horrible voice acting while still having some sound coming from the game. As I said before, I'm a huge fan of modern American voice acting, but this game is the rare exception that I find really unacceptable.

I started playing the undub the other day and I still hated the voice acting

The cinematics are so cheaply done. Visually it looks like a PS1 game. Neither of which complaints will ruin a game for me but I don't really find it spectacular aside from that in the first place.

I might not finish this game.
