Are American Cars Really All That Bad?

Of course VW wasn't on the list, hell there practically korean cars to me, how can you group VW with BMW, MB, Porsche, and even Audi?
What makes you say VW is Korean? Audi and VW come out of the same engineering house, I believe the A3 even has the same engine as one of the VW's (either passat or golf, I forget). The Porsche Cayenne is a souped up VW Touareg, same chassis, made on the same assembly line. VW is imho one of the most reliable vehicles out there. German engineering, solid quality and efficiency, assembled in Mexico for the NA market. My only complaint is that VWs are more pricey than their Jap counterparts, for no apparent reason than paying for the brand.

I personally can not imagine a circumstance under which I would spend my own money on a U.S. vehicle brand.

play with the buttons on a 5 year old caddy, then on a 5 year old accord and see which one feels cheap. Go look at the chrysler 300, then go look at the lexus IS 350 and check them feature for feature.

Name a car that is made by an american company that can match a japanese or german in styling and comfort.

I said back in the day, not current and no shit germans better, they're german!

I say korean because theyve taken after there styling, namely ripping off japanese companys, VW has never been great but you at least could tell it was german, now they look just like a jap car at more cost to the buyer.

Yes german companies share alot of they're facilities with eachother, remember the 500e? The engine on that particular MB was made by porsche, and that and the BMW M5 of the early 90's ruled the roads all over the world.

Also I'm not wealthy enough to purchase a new car, so I only look at old models.
