ok I was slinking around the net this afternoon trying not to work
on my English paper and I started going to some of the sites I
havent been to in a while and I found my way back to

www.ocremix.org

and I noticed a big link to something called
"Chrono Symphonic" this naturaly perked my attention.
all I can say is "oh dear god" the best and brightest musical minds of
one of the top video game remixing sites all working together
on one project... and it was Chrono Trigger!

so I started downloading and what an experience
listening to these tracks has been wonderful I strongly recomend
that anyone that is a fan of the game and a fan of good music
go to this site and download the whole thing
(its free by the way, but they do take paypal donations for
server space and for upkeep)

http://chrono.ocremix.org/
^ this is the direct link but I am shure ocremix.org will have something
for everyone.

Sorry for making this sound like an add btw ^_^;
Listen, remember and fall in love again.

What the hell was the ending to chrono cross all about. I still, to this day do not know what the fuck was going on...

Very good site. :) I use a couple of their remixed tracks as replacement music in FFXI as a matter of fact. :D

Love Chrono Trigger. Chrono Cross, however, was one of the five largest blasphemies I've witnessed in my entire life.

I like the main charecter! ;)

The Cross hate in this thread makes baby Jesus cry :(

Thanks for this link though, I'm so getting these.

Chrono Cross sez: "Hi, I'm Skelly! You may have wasted a couple hours gathering all the crap needed to revive me, and I'm so grateful I'll join your party!" /em joins party, gives nothing special, yields zero plot. repeat with 40/46 the other characters in the game, GTFO, The End.

That game didn't deserve to have any remote reference to Chrono Trigger. It doesn't even deserve to have rights to step in CT's poo if CT were to have the urge to magically create some upon the floor. =P

And yes, Chrono Trigger is good.

Chrono Cross was good. So what if it had 44* characters, only about 6 of which were distinguishable from the others at all?

Actually, now that I think about the character roster, at least half-ish the game's playable characters actually have some kind of plot involvement somewhere in the game. Who cares if a game has a pointless character or two mixed in? The legendary FF6 had Umaro... it had almost no plot whatsoever associated with it, does that make FF6 a bad game?

It's fine if a game is gonna have a gag character or two, but it's pretty crappy if 90%+ of the characters that join you effect maybe 2 minutes of storyline each. The only thing that saves CC from being the worst character-setup I've ever seen is the fact that Radiata Stories does the exact same thing, but with 173 characters. =P

The Suikoden series' games also have an absurd number of characters.

What's your point?

To understand Cross completely, you had to play Radical Dreamers(As this is what ChronoCross is the sequel to, not ChronoTrigger,) which most of the series fans probably haven't.

Never heard of that...though the whole Ozzie/Slash/Flea appearance didn't help much..

And Tagri, my point is if the game is full of a bunchof characters that have a one-line plot, why should they even join? There's armor NPCs that impact the story more than most of the characters ever will, they're POINTLESS.

Not gonna discuss this anymore. It's not worth this much effort to get the point across that characters should hold some kindof value to the story, and not be 90% fodder.

Yea, but the Suikoden games you have a reason for collecting 108 stars of destiny, the whole storyline revolves around the 108 Stars of Destiny, you need to build up your army(literally, an army) to win, and you get more people to build up your headquarters, and also, not all of the people are available to fight, some build a kitchen at your HQ, others become vendors, others become your strategist, and mind you, the majority of the characters actually fit into the game/storyline, at least all of them are actual SoD's. On another note, I can't fucking wait for Suikoden V! Hopefully recapture the glory of I and II. In Chrono Cross the majority of the characters, they don't fit into it, and they have no point. I enjoyed CC, but having way too many characters screwed it over. Radiata Stories is the same, the majority of the characters have no storyline, and are just pointless 1 linining ramblers, I still enjoyed it though, getting Lenneth Valkyrie from VP was great.

I enjoyed chrono cross. It was an overall good game. The over excessive characters didn't bother me any. I enjoyed the soundtrack in that game too. Sure its not a classic like CT, but it still wasn't a bad game though.

Oh and nice find with the songs. Thanks for the info share.
