Lyrai Ive taken breaks from FFXI. When I feel I can't be commited, I let it be known, and I kept the situation updated and still visited the forums daily to keep up on things.

The process of going online to visit the forums, make a reply or two, or even a new thread giving your status takes about 15mins. So give me a break if you can't fit that into your day.

From the sound of things it seems like it wasen't a huge surprise to the link, i'm sure he wasen't just like "oh thanks for the nobles, btw i'ma have a kid anyday now so peace" meanwhile watch pulls the ultimate in slimy moves and says they'll give him a chance to earn it back and then boots him.

For someone who at one point would have been "honored" for me to be in his link watch has lost any respect i had for him. The rest of the bullshit aside that's low.

Before I was recruited I put on my application that I didnt know how much time I would have after the baby was born. I've been having major relationship problems along with moving back and forth between houses and internet going out every few minutes. This happened after I got my nobles.. about a week after is when it got bad. How could I do this on purpose though? Why would I work over 2 months, get a "borrowed" tunic, and quit playing? This is sooooo true, people getting stuff then leaving is so anoying. Half the LS's on this sever could be done with sky if it were not for people getting what the want and then "Getting tired of going to sky". All it does it set people back. having to get new member, and they want stuff its just a mess. But this is not the case with busta she had rl stuff to attend, and clearly she was going to become more active later on after she gets settled.

thats all fine and dandy that you go on the forums daily, but when you are rounding the time of birth of a child, you dont leave the hospital. when my ex wife was having my son, i spent a full week in the hospital without leaving...yes, that includes NOT going to work.

I can see both sides of the story, from a ls point of view, how many jackasses show up, get what they want and stop coming? happens to dynamis shells every day. you have irl circumstances preventing regular attendace? that's too bad but if you're only in there like once a week do you deserve to be wearing the fruit of an entire linkshell's work fighting kirin and the god to get the pops for kirin? more to the point, if it's only gonna be like twice a week for you is giving it back such a big deal? not like you're out there using it 24/7, is it a big deal to let another whm have it? most people scrape out 4-5 months in a god shell before they hit something big like shining cloth. drops like 1/10 on kirin and 1/1000 on suzy, there are blms, drks, wars and ninja who show up tirelessly before they get something of comparable value to shining cloth.

This thread is already out of hand. The topic at hand is not the baby, yes we all know baby's take time!!

The topic is about people leaving a ls for any reason at all, and expecting to keep the items they obtained while they were active. Items are given to people based on future activity. The prior activity(2 months of being at everything) only shows he can be at events. To truly call the item yours, you need to be dedicated, be on time, and show up to LS events. I dont know about your ls's, but to pull 16M items is tough, this is an entire outing for 1 item. Lets divide 16M by the average number of people that show up to a sky event, how about a round number 30. If you divided his share by the number of people it would be roughtly 500k. So at 2 outings a week to sky, it would take roughly 16 weeks, or 4 months before he truly could call this item his. That is saying he did not miss a single sky event.

This item was not his to begin with, he would of never earned 16M on even split drops. This is an ls item, it belongs to the LS!!
