If you looked through the "thread", like you claim to have done, you'll see that deci decided to bring up points issue in more detail again and avoided the initial post regarding busta having a baby and not comparing that to his so called hard life at school. Saying having a child isn't an excuse is plain ridiculous especially with the crap deci has gotten away with. Do you agree with that? Having a newborn baby is not an excuse?

So in the end, you want to talk about mature but you've posted alot of "immature" temper tantrums in the past as you just did here. So I should look to you for the definition of mature? Riiiiiiight.... lol
 
If you have a baby don't play the game then.And if u do want to play the game then then what's wrong with getting the tunic after the ppl who dedicate more time anyway?

The thing is though that he got the tunic before the baby was born. He then was away from the game once the baby was born. Whatever happened toward the end when he came back ended up with him agreeing that he was coming back and putting time into the shell and gave his tunic in good faith back to the shell. The whole "loaner" tunic thing wasn't really in the rules. He was then kicked out which watchyoustep commented on in the thread and then made an attempt to discuss things with busta after his post to resolve things which was the respectable thing to do.

The issue has been resolved according to Busta but to say that having a newborn is not a good excuse to be away from the game is just plain idiotic. Busta didn't play after the baby was born and decide to stop playing after he got his tunic or things may have been alot different in this thread. Watchyourstep agreed that rl is always first, heck he used to tell us all that when I was in the shell but a certain someone else felt differently.
 
or why not save up some gill and buy 1 from ah ta da thats what these 43 pages have come to lol

Just so people quit taking Deci's comment out of context. Having a newborn is no excuse to spend the 10 mins to let your LS know whats up or give the LS the tunic to use while he was away. He did not mean having a newborn is not a good excuse to be away from the game.

Ya, it is possible ofcourse, but likely? I have been at Ullikimi for 9 straight hours without a pop. I think by you saying you have farmed all items, popped all 4 gods, and fought Kirin all on a Saturday numerous occassions is an exaggeration. This was possible a year ago when you were competing with maybe 1 other NA shell up there, but now it is impossible, especially on a Saturday. Saturdays it is not even worth going to sky for anything it is so crowded.

So is this a new rule? Anyone expecting to have a baby shouldn't join the LS? Busta told the LS as well when he was gonna be away due to the baby, was anything mentioned then? Nope. Did they ask for the tunic back then? Nope. And he didn't know when he was gonna be back as well. What more did they need? I think he even posted pics once the baby was born. His activity while in the shell should have been good enough since they did give him a tunic after all or he would have been kicked way before that.

They talked about selling Busta's tunic so it wasn't like they were pressed to give the tunic to another mage that needed it as a loaner. Having a baby is a part of life. If you want to discriminate against people trying to have real lives outside of FFXI, maybe you should put that in the rulebook.

The above post was replying to you're comment Etchdog2000. Just trying to show how it wasn't about taking 10min to let your LS know what was up when the comment was posted.
 
I would have given you a decent comeback IF I really cared about your opinion. Your approach was more aimed towards Deci and not the problem as a whole.

Deci stated that having a baby wasn't an excuse for not coming saying Busta was going to take a leave. He DID state he was going to try to be active and *BAM* dissappearred. Yes, having a baby IS a big responsibility. I actually had my second son right around when Busta had his. My wife also had very bad post-pardem(think this is the one..) depression and my son was in the hospital in NICU due to lung development, but I still was there my normal 2-4 days when I could afterwards. I was probably better accustomed to having a child the Busta was since I'm 22, married, full-time bankruptcy specialist, and taking more classes to finish some certifications. Just to add... I moved 1 month after the birth just like Busta ;)

I'm not trying to bring down what Busta went through, but not giving ANY notice with the history BoL has had with whms can be kinda suspiscious (I saw him 3 weeks before this in another shell in Alteppa Desert btw...but might have been afk due to feeding the baby). In any case, this is done, WYS and Busta made up, people agree, disagree, etc. Gras...I'm not wasting any more keystrokes on you.

Busta said he was gonna try to be more active on the same day he gave in his tunic and was kicked. Busta "BAM" disappeared when the baby was born. He also told them about his situation on his application concerning his situation per his post here and they still accepted him. Please read the thread next time.

So anyways, notice was given so I don't know what you're talking about. He even gave notice when he went M.I.A.

So if you don't want to waste keystrokes on me anymore, that's fine by me. Next time just say you don't know what else to say. It's alot simplier. ;)

saturday is wide open actually. lets see, bol, jin bros, valks, oh, esp, whoever else, including you guys; show up when? lets see. most of you guys choose to start 12pmish? so by the time you guys show up, get ready, hmm its about 3 hours later? so 3pmish? no wonder you cant do it.
 
Can you ever not talk up sora/envy/whatever you are called? Jesus christ every time you post its something about how great you are. Tone it down, let your actions speak for you, not your words.
 
Obviously you haven't been there on a Saturday morning in awhile. It is JP primetime Sat. night during our Sat. mornings and no less than 3-4 Jp shells competing for god pop items. I will reiterate, there is noway in hell any shell can farm all god items, kill all the gods, and spawn Kirin in 1 day unless they can talk the other 10 sky shells out of farming on Saturday. It was possible at one time, not any longer.
I am by no means saying your shell is not good enough or that you are not good enough and not trying to start a flame - it just is not possible these days based on the competition for items and believe me I have the hours logged in sky to know, unfortunately.
 
Like Foofighter said, it's not that it's not possible, it's just highly unlikely to manage a clean sweep of every god pop NM on any given day. And like Zoo said, stop tooting your own horn.
