Argh....15 more days until FFXII :D

in 15 days, i think ill already be done with FFXII story line! lol, but i still gotta pay for my preorder...
 
Just curious, is anyone else going to the midnight opening for this? I know the newer Gamestop by me is holding a midnight event, suggesting costumes and all.

It's on Halloween! Can Square be any more dumb? I plan on getting drunk & bothering old people! I don't want to play a video game in my dorm room all night. But I so do. It's such a hard decision. Thankfully, I'm lazy & just ordered mine off the internet. That way I don't have to deal with crowds (they give me gas) or crazy fanboys (who, for some reason, also give me gas)!

Are you kidding? The gas and crazed fans in awesome costumes make it all worthwhile! Plus, I heard rumor that there will be some good old fashioned Smash Bros. Melee going on, I've been dying to play against people I don't know.

I'll be the nutcase in a Kakashi costume ripping through people like toilet paper on Marth btw ^^ (if I can get back up to par)

Edit: I think next year I'll start a Desert Punk costume just so I have something different.
 
Ah, the midnight sale on the night of the 30th into the morning of the 31st, damn straight I'm gonna be there ;O
Then there's FFV Advance a mere 8 days later, and FFIII DS a mere 6 days after that...aghh....
I'm glad I don't have to worry about V or III when they release, since I'll be getting both and a brand new DS lite as Christmas gifts, gives me time to conquer FFXII :D

Fuck Halloween. It comes every year.

Well, I'd say that, but my EB games and gamestop wont sell it till midnight of Oct 31 and I'm not hardcore enough to go wait at midnight...so I'll do my halloween jig on the 31st and get this on the 1st after school
 
Nope fuck midnight openings, it makes people that have to work lose a lot of sleep just to have a chance at tgetting the game because it'll be sold out in the day.

I find a comp usa or toys are us to get mine from, nobody ever thinks to go there, they always have a few copys.
 
Well, I for one am gonna be lying on the side of the road somewhere all passed out on Halloween, but that's just me.

Personally, I would suggest something like this on Halloween

Aren't Halloween parties the night of the 31st? The midnight sale is the night of the 30th, so can do both :P

I want FFXII now :\ why did they need so many months between JP and NA release x.x not like they prolly did anything useful like.. oh.. matching lips to the english words (didn't do that for FFVII: AC -_-) bah... better be sexy extras

They arent -supposed- to do it till the night of the release date...but some stores do. Ones in this area completely refuse.
 
Um, idk about that, its like a midnight showing of the movie, at 1200 am its the next day, so it's technically the same day the movie is releasing, that's how FFXII is, it won't be on sale til the 31st at 12am, and that's how midnight sales I've been to also have worked. Because on the 31st, people will come pick it up when the store opens because the game will generally be available then, not the 1st, FFXII(and others) the stores get in early for the midnight sale, as opposed to shipping the 31st and receiving November 1st.
 
Well every other game I've tried to buy recently(for the 4 years I've lived here) they made me wait till the next day...but then again, I didn't pre-order any of them. Might that be the difference?

Because generally for those titles, they don't receive til the next day, it ships on the release date that stores have up, and they receive the next day. IE if FFXII wasn't having a midnight release, it would be shipping on the 31st, and most stores wouldn't get it til November 1st.

Check the list at your local GameStop/EB. If will have the release date, the name, the price and the SKU. For 99% of games, you will be able to buy it the day after the release date. However, if you look next to the name of the game, some of them will say (S.D. 10/31/06) or whatever day, I picked FFXII for the example. S.D = Street Date, so that is when you can buy it. That means it actually gets shipped the day before that.
