Hey everyone, just wanted to give a shout out to my Static for a Wonderful job taking out the Elvaan Ark Angel PLD. ^^
First, our static is comprised of 5 people, Myself, (PLD/WAR), a Monk/WAR (or /nin), SMN/WHM, BRD/WHM, and a WHM/BLM (or /RDM). We've been playing mostly since the game's US debut on the PC, and have been together ever since, (we're short our Thief who retired last year ; ; ). We're done numerous things over the years that have just blown me away. But last night was something I felt that I had to give everyone a pat on the back.
We had a rough start, though we pulled through. Me and the SMN were trying to keep the timing down so I could stop for bloodpacts (no Diablos ^^; but we'll get that soon enough), and Heals and what not. Heck, we had Fenrir Tanking in the early parts too ^^; (i kinda screwed up and provoked early ^^; sorry guys). our MNK leader was boosting for Chiblast, as our Bard was runing around giving everyone songs. We decided earlier that I would kite it, and our WHM (who was subbing RDM for this fight) would try to keep gravaty on her which stuck many times. At one point the MNK took hate, and our BRD came over and was even throwing out cures, along with the WHM and SMN.
Toward the end of the fight, the AA started "Cure V"ing herself and spaming Spirits Within (thank god she wasn't saving it ^^; ) We were almost out of meds, and our WHM had given me a hi-ether before the fight, so while kiting I put it in my bazaar for 1 gil so she could get some MP back. It was nuts, trying to do all that. But we pulled though! and JUST in time! the AA took me down to almost 200 and i was trying to Spam the last of my Hi-potions and X-potions, and the WHM got off a Cure V just in time. We had her down to 20% (this being late fight after the AA did both of her 2 hours) and we started to straight up fight since we were running low on time. Our leader unleased a devastating Asurian Fists and knocked off about 15% of her HP. He hit her like 2 more times, and that was it. The AA was down for the count!
It was defiantly a rush to be in such a fight and so many close calls. It's been a long while since we've faced something like that. And with 5 people with no BLM or RDM mains, we were really pushing our luck, but we pulled though. ^^
Thanks to all my static for all the hard work, and to our leader who always finds a near perfect strategy for everything we encounter!
Live it up! All that's left of Zilart is the brat! And I'm sure we can take him down too. ^^
