Arkangel's Run Episode VI: Return of the gilsellers

I went stroper camping for fun once. It is fun IMHO if you're camping four of the pops with a few partners. Not only can you get a good deal of the claims this way, but it keeps you busy constantly.

I don't mind the free silver and other stuff I collect while running around either.

Two things to mention to Vang:

1. Not everyone has the TIME to camp NM with pop times as long as the ones you camp. Just because other people don't make money like your high leetness doesn't mean much of anything. Outside you seem to think a few lucky drops makes you special.

2. You can call a GM if someone is just running stroper around. Action will be taken. I had called a GM for another type of offense when last down there, and when they asked if there was anything else they could help me with I asked them about the jackass dragging a chyme around.

One way or another the thing got killed/despawned shorty after.

Im all for having ideas/opinions and whatever.

it the system administrators and game makers would change the drop rate of items to 1 of 3 for all mobs, shorten pop time for NMs to 30 minutes to an hour and lower the aution houes holding time to 3 day prices would drop drasticaly you might say this would hurt non gilsellers as well but who is holding all the cards us or the gilsellers they play this game to make alot of money if we took that equation out it would make it drastically easier for the non gilsellers of the game

This grand idea came from someone having trouble with Stroper Chyme... I went and camped this guy once. Got him like 8 times or whatever. My friend left and I got it once cause of luck. After that, they started camping ME to find out where I ran. Realized with my setup, couldnt cut it. Now it would be no problem as long as I had someone with me. One person can not go in Ordelle and hope to get him on a regular basis.

The problem with these ideas is that because a few people are having trouble, the entire game should be changed? Thats fair right? Oh but im a bastard for getting sick of a few people wanting the game changed in their favor.

By now, EVERYONE knows which NM are a bitch to get. Ochidos Kote, Archer Ring, Monster Signa and so on are all heavily camped, but people expect to go in, put in an hour of camping, and then have the game changed cause it didnt go their way...

Look what happens when SE makes a change. Astral Ring shot through the roof in a few weeks, put some hard to get items in a Kindred Seal battle, cut the exp big time for tnl, and so on...

Cant say that all of those are good changes... Course the majority of people favored exp cut because it helped them. You start making drops easier and easier to get, and the game has lost everything it once stood for.

Oh now we can call GM for charming Stroper Chyme? It isnt a NM, it is just a normal mob with a good drop. I would be not a damn thing would be done about a charmed Stroper and rightly so. Just like a couple Bst showing up in CN and charming crawlers to the point there were none left...

Im sorry i posted so soon after the other, but like 5 posts showed up I wished to comment on.

As far as not being able to camp a NM with bigass spawn time... What does that matter? Just because you camp it doesnt mean you get it everytime. There are so many ways to make gil its ridiculous. People fail at one route and want the game changed. I have been tempted to try out digging from what Cubswoo has said in his guide, but realized that I didnt have the patience to deal with it. So did I go and try and then bitch because I didnt get Orichalum Ore on my first dig like I was ENTITLED to?! No, I went out and found other ways to make my gil.

grief tactics can be called for anything, but they typically arent on normal mobs because there is typically a ton of them. stroper chyme is another story. theres one as we all know and everyone wants it. they are causing grief tactics by stalling it so others cant get claimed and gms will release it as they see it being charmed and nothing being done with it(pending a complaint of course)

I'm lucky now? I find it hard to believe all of my gil is luck driven lol. If you don't have the time then don't do it, and don't bitch when you can't get it done if you choose to do it.

Oh and "Grief tactics" is the most bitch title I have ever heard of in a video game. That just sounds so pathetic. I feel bad for some of your friends who are forced to play games IRL vs some of you people.

Football game for example :

"OMG U 0NS1de K1cked teh F00tb411, Taht iz GREEF TaKtiks!!!11"

What is to say someone knows who Stroper Chyme is? Some random person could just be running along and charm him to use as a pet. No way could they get in trouble for that solely because it has a good drop.

If all they did was sit there with it charmed, then I think you could call a GM for grief tactics. Now, if they made it fight other mobs and kept it healed by using the reward thing, then I don't think they would get in any trouble.
