Controls are fast paced, combat is alot faster, and once i figured out the Garage and Schematics system, made customizing SO much easier.

Stuck in chaper 3. -_-
 
Sounds like they finally got the game right, I'll definitely pick this up when i get another console.
 
Yeah it's pretty decent... but can't tell if I suck at piloting or suck at making mechs because I'm having trouble early on. Competing for attention with Oblivian doesn't help either. ><

I didnt like Oblivion that much, tho might just because i cant get used to playing an RPG from first person view.

And use the fuck out of Quickboost, its like cheeze in rocket form.
 
im actually looking to get this, i never got into mech games but im open to anything now adays.
And as live is gonna be down for 14 hours...the day shivering isles gets released no less i need to start a new game.

You're thinking overboost, where it charges up and launches you off. Quickboost is the Dodge Roll kinda thing, where you shoot sideways/backwards/forwards with R2

And thanks for the view change thing for Oblivion, now i can actualy play it O_o
 
Actually the #1 thing I've been doing lately is that folding @ home shit. I don't know why but it's just so addictive to see all those PS3 light up. I'd love to see a day of folding in fast forward...

I run it when i sleep or when i'm at school, so i dont actualy watch it, lol.
 
They need to add access to our MP3s cause I use my PS3 to listen to music while I'm on my PC. I'm really behind the whole folding@home project so if they can help me out to run it as much as possible everyone wins.
 
Just finished AC4 yesterday, been fan of the series long time. Was fun. I am going to try and complete all achievements today, may be rough. I really hate when some of the achievements are like 50 wins in a row online and bs like that... AC has some good ones involving the Arena if your familiar with the older AC games.
 
Not to fond of this one. I didn't like the feel of either the 360 or PS3 version. Then again, I have been very disappointed of the series as of late.
 
I liked the faster paced combat compared to the first ones. And the new garage/shop system.
 
:D good things eh? I <3 the second one but not enough to get the third cause it didn't seem like anything new. The story wasn't easy to follow with my lazy ways when I was younger but it was one of the first 3 games I had with my PS2, so much fun I had (I think tekken, armored core 2 and.. dark cloud? I can't remember the third) were my first 3. I'll add this to my list of "games I want" since it sounds like it's so much more awesome :D
 
I've been in the mood for a new mech game for awhile, and was thinking of picking this up, but what I need to know is did they finally put the other analog stick to use. I couldn't stand looking up and down with L2 and R2 in all the other games.

Yeah me too. Not exactly a mech person but it does look pimp, gotta check it out. Also i love how it looks on the 360, not so much PS3 but 360 is nice.
 
controls are totaly changed, Ltrigger is boost. Rtrigger quick boost, an evasive boost. Lb and Rb change weapons for their sides. X,left weapon. A,right weapon and B shoulder weapons. and yes they put both analogs to work. these are my settings on 360 =D
 
Cool. I'll take a guess that they didn't retard up the PS3 controls and pick it up.
 
Biggest complaint I have is that they fucked up splitscreen... when you put it onto a regular TV, it puts the black bars under and above, effectively making each player's screen the same size as a regular screen.

But THEN... when you hook it up to a splitscreen. it STILL gives you the black bars, giving each player their own widescreen... which is obviously, quite lame, because they could have just split the screen down the middle and given each half.
