There's always someone stalling the crabs, this isn't really anything new.

Its new in the sense it was for close to a 20 minutes of stalling. Everyone stalls that last crab just so everyone can get into position for claim.

And yeah, KA is really pathetic to go to those lengths for. You don't even need to BE there the whole time, just close to the computer and listen for someone voking a Knight. (But then again, Medicineman can't even manage that, they've had to stall while they waited for him to get back from AFK before )

I was one of the ones there, and after waking up I'm pretty much over all anger I had last night.
While stalling crabs for 20 minutes was pretty low, I'd prefer legit players of any status claiming and getting drop over RMT anyday. GL to BDS on drops and if they got more power to them, I can remember days when there was a lot more disappointment at KA on a daily basis when RMT would claim for the majority of the week.
Now I'm just more upset about losing that 20 minutes of sleep than anything

Lower level characters at camps are often associated with botting. It doesn't mean its a sure thing, but in the history of HNM camping this is one way its been tried to have disguised. DA had its share of lvl 5's that would logoff after death and only reappear for spams. The split second that the voke would occur before the bot would die gave other members free reign to solidify hate.

You can't tell one way or another for sure with the information provided, but it is awful coincidental that it occured.

Well curious what linkshell the level 54 was in then. If you can prove its a real player that actually plays its different than throwing out accusations. I'll often times have my more social friends try to show up (underleveled yes) to some events or camps that normally they wouldn't go to just for the fun of it.

I do see where you're coming from though.

I gave a historical aspect of what has been done in the past. You saying it could be a friend holds less weight because you weren't there. Mara has been to hundreds of HNM camps, and this occured. He gave out his reasoning behind it.

I admitted it wasn't foolproof, but I've never heard of inviting lower level 'friends' to any HNM before today. The only instance I've seen in them in the past is to bot-suicide-claim. Since the person did claim, it makes me even more skeptical of the situation.

I'm just giving my interpretations of the observations.

Nah I see what you're saying. I know its not common. I have some friends who never fully decided what job they wanted to be and are purely social unassociated players and had never seen Fafnir, Behemoth, Aspid, Simurgh, KA, etc. I'd just bring them for fun to give them the experience. If it becomes a reoccuring presence of the level 54 then I think it'd be more clear that its a bot, but I just didn't like that nothing was mentioned about the name or linkshell of the 54 and immediately being written off as a bot. Most likely because of my own experience of bringing friends along I'm leaning that way.

I do understand theres a pretty good chance it is, I just like giving the benefit of the doubt before stirring stuff up about someone who might be an innocent party. I haven't heard anything other than a level 54 warrior in a different linkshell claimed for them. That to me doesn't instill a guilty verdict instantly. If its been reappearing only during KA with BDS and it logs off right after KA dies, then sure I'll agree with it. But saying only because someone is underleveled and in a different linkshell makes them a bot isn't enough 'proof' provided in my opinion.

The suspicions always there anyway, so its kind of pointless to argue about it I guess.
