ARR Alpha

I couldnt get in the alpha because im not reactivating my account till this is fully out. Got my legacy and im happy to see summoner in there so I will have something new to level. Ended with PLD, WAR, WHM capped and all the best gear available at the time. Got a couple moogle weapons and Ifrit items so im glad to see that the old gear looks good in this. I personally hope that PLD is useful in ARR. No one wanted PLD for jack in XIV since WAR was such a beast tank, even with the cyclone nerf they were still the top choice. The most I ever got to tank was the darkhold runs and a couple moogle fights, I ended up just going to WHM so I could participate in more events. I really just wanna tank stuff!

Ahh that sucks about PLD being less useful. Monk is my first love, but I've got a soft spot for the PLD, but it seems like they tend to end up getting outshined by the other tank classes. What was it that made the WARs that much better than the PLDs in 14?

You didn't have to have an active account to get into the alpha, you just had to have purchased and played the game in the past. People who played and quit back at launch in 2010 were getting alpha invites.

You should have applied for alpha. Make sure you apply for beta in Jan.

It was because the whole hate system was based on damage output. Wars were really really over powered with steel cyclone and had good job abilities that countered enemy attacks. PLD/GLD was just broken I think.
