You also didn't say.. "This is a thread for my own art." Honestly... whichever way you want it to be, make sure you state it CLEARLY one way or the other. As it is, you could have handled it more politely and just said "Hey, think you could move your art to your own thread? =)" or something... Now, as for the art, I think it's pretty good, the middle picture is bit.. undefined, if you know what I mean? I'd make it more clear and defined, but that's just my style

We can all run quick, and when we race against others there is an inner drive that pushes us to run even quicker.

If you see art in this way, then you must not fall when another peice is layed next to yours. Instead let it fuel your passion to become a more outstanding artist.

Welcoming other artists in this case would mean your on top of this, and already working on a peice that is finer than your best. Pay attention to this and eventually you'll find yourself standing out in a gallery, and the feeling is more rewarding than getting feedback on a solo degree, no matter how skilled an artist you are.

Criticism itself is a tool of improvement, even if it is down right insulting, just like what Vang has done to you Lyrai. I personally think he was either sticking up for his friend, or just sticking up for a new qcdn member, either way our enemies offer great criticism. You'll know when they are honest and when they are not.

Requesting your enemies opinion on your new exposures (as mad as it sounds) will lead you to create a very moody scene that has a dramatic impact on observers. Providing you allow your train of thought to follow up on your practice to advance. Not understanding why your requesting feedback from your roughest crits might not be good for mental health.

I think your non coloured image is the greater. It has a glyph like appearance to it which is often seen in todays retrospective visual arts.
