as a drk/thf or drk/war am i doing something wrong?

And yeah I had trouble keeping both capped around 40. But once I hit 50 the xp just became so large it got very easy to keep both capped. Just try your best to keep them up, work on one weapon first and cap it for a level before going to the next. If the 2nd one falls behind just make sure you get a skill up party around 50 and get it caught back up to use in xp pts, shouldnt be too hard.

And yes, thf sub after 60 is good. You can even hold off on it until 65/66. Before 60 war is def better.

excellent post Ecks. speaking from me i used GS only for quiet awhile till my af scythe even used Gax for a bit. usually when i ran into opposition i just claimly explained to them that i use GS and i would have a SC worked out before hand. most of the time i just made my own pts so it wasnt much of an issue. just do yourself a favor dont listen to ppl who havnt taken drk really anywere everyone has there ideas or opinions on how a job should play but they have no real clue just an idea. Quick story i was helping a friend help somone in his LS do whm af3 *i think i have done it like a thousand times* well anyhoo me and the main tank PLD ran into some static. I wanted to be in his pt so he could cover me because with my exp. in this fight i have out dmgd rngs and high lvl sams, he swore up and down that i was being stupid and i had no idea what i was talking about and even got offened at the idea of me pulling hate from him even made the remark see this is why i dont invite drks. now to his defense i have ptd with him before on other afs and the like and he is an excellent pld. well my bud happened to be a blm with whm sub so i told him to make sure i am healed and he did me the favor of settin a mac for me. well into the fight everyone started to unload on the NM i was seeing 600 - 800 + dmg from everyone else then the other dark did Souleater + last resort + sneak Guillotine he did about 700 dmg told him that was nice and then i did mine i hit that bastard for 1300+ dmg and got hate form the pld... i watch with alittle statisfaction as the pld did everything in his power to get hate back. finally i ran behind him and he was able to get it back and i didnt die this time thank god XD. anyways the pld was impressed and has since said that he would invite me to his pts. moral of the story just keep doing what you are doing and prove everyone else wrong.

I have a friend who plays DRK/SAM so he has a high damage output, so far only like 2 plds he's been with can hold hate off him. Kinda sad that DRK are such high damage dealers that they have to gimp THEMSELVES because the plds can't hold hate. And forget about NIN/WAR... yeeesh.

And yeah level your great sword, it's teh awesome
