Ash Dragon? Biast? Can I come for Body Slam?

If you know of anyone planning to fight Biast, Dahaks, or the Ash Dragon, and who might not mind me tagging along as BLU63, helping with cures or even just hiding in the corner, please let me know. I will edit this message, the first in the thread, when I've learned the spell, so no matter how busy the thread may look, please assume I don't have the spell yet while this sentence is still here.

I made a thread like this before and most of the replies suggested other ways of getting the spell, or that I just wait until I'm high-level enough to help with the Double Dragonian KS. I appreciate the suggestions and I'm willing to wait since Body Slam doesn't seem to be a critical spell, but in the meantime, it can't hurt to put out my feelers. Thanks.

Edit: As I already stated, I appreciated all the suggestions in the last thread, but I started this one because the last one drifted off-topic. I will now attempt to reign this one in as nicely as possible. I purposely put only Biast and the Ash Dragon in the topic to avoid clutter. I wanted to keep the topic concise so I'd be more likely to capture the attention of people who know of an upcoming fight against Biast or the Ash Dragon as they quickly scan all the topics. I've never heard of people fighting Dahaks for any reason besides learning Body Slam, so I didn't mention them in the topic, hoping that my having mentioned Body Slam would get the attention of anyone who knows of an upcoming Dahak fight. I have now, however, edited the first sentence of the message-proper to include Dahaks. I don't have access to Limbus yet so the Enhanced Dragon in Central Temenos isn't an option yet. I'm not level 65 yet so the Vanguard Dragon in Dynamis is also not an option. I also doubt anyone would want a BLU63 taking up space in a Double Dragonian party. I believe that covers every way of learning Body Slam, but please let me know if I missed anything. I should also mention that I'm not interested in organizing a group to go learn this spell. Putting a group together for anything besides xp/merit is monumentally difficult, and I'd rather save the energy for something more important. I'm really just looking for opportunities to tag along with something that has already been organized, perhaps a campaign to obtain Patroclus's Helm or a Murasame. Thanks.

Just outta curiosity, could you learn it off of the Shadow Dragon up in Xarcabard? I can't imagine he'd be too terrible to solo as a 63 BLU.

Anyway, hope this helps :)

Don't think Shadow Dragons use Body Slam. Could try Dahaks, maybe?

I recently fought Ash Dragon... You dont wanna be learning body slam from him...

yeah, Ash Dragon body slam will most likely one shot you if youre unlucky...

Dahaks do use Body Slam as well... Shadow Dragon does not

Take a party of you and a number of 75's and go hunt Dahaks on Zhayolm, it's probably your best bet, and for all that they're obnoxious and annoying, they're easier targets and *way* easier to organize, than a Biast or Ash Dragon fight.

Double Dragonian requires spending orbs (so dying is even worse than it would otherwise be, and your number of potential kills is limited), plus the dragons are quirky in other ways, and the best strategies for that BC will typically not result in seeing many (if any) Body Slams in the first place.

Alternatively you could try doing Dynamis-Xarcabard or Dynamis-Buburimu on your BLU. But I still think Dahaks are an easier option.

Definitely Dahaks in Mt Zhayolm, in the area by the execution chamber. Manaburn parties kill them when there are no more roaches to pull in that area.

Do any of you feel strongly that I shouldn't bump this thread say, once per week? I didn't see anything about it in the rules, but I don't want to piss people off. I'd just like my carefully thought-out subject to make it to the first page once in a while.

In response to the possibility of getting one-shotted by the Ash Dragon, remember, you don't have to get hit by something to learn it. I plan on staying well out of range. I learned Filamented Hold when my party killed a diremite down a couple halls, around a couple corners, and down a hole from my position at the time. I didn't get hit by it and I didn't "see" it, although I was still in xp range.

Theres not really any problem with it, as long as its not bumped a whole lot. Youll probably get some smartass remarks, though, just for bumping it once or twice

I need to kill hurricane wyvrens near ash dragon for my opo crown skull.
I'm willing to help with my brd.

Those don't use body slam (they're wyverns) and I don't think your bard wants to try it's luck with Ash Dragon, lol.

Yeah but they are right next to the bastard and probably ill be needed to kill since they will aggro/link during the fight if we are trying to stretch it out for body slam.

Ash Dragon isn't always there, a couple times when I was helping for wyvern skull, I never seen Ash Dragon around there.

Ash Dragon spawns near the exit to the Jungle for the ZM5 Head Stone. The only Hurricane Wyverns I can think of are in the vicinity of that NM Wyvern, which is in an entirely different area of Ifrit's (if my memory serves correctly).

The NM dragon that is near Hurricane Wyverns is Vouivre. Ash is in a different area of ifrits.

If anyone does setup a team to fight Ash I may come along to help depending on time and day.

Could tank it for you guys for some cash.Always down for merc work =0

I have done double dragonians recently with a BLU in my party. Those two dragons use body slam and he learned it during one of the runs. I think this might be the easiest and fastest way to do it. Just set up a run and out of 6 orbs I bet you will come out with your new spell
