Max MP swap only. Leaves the option of a shield open for an extra +30 max, so +60 in total. Healing Staff is overall better but if you're squeezing the extra few points out this is the best club you can get for the swap.

I've had mine for years, love it, makes Healing Staff totally not worth the effort.

I'd actually go with the Templar mace + Numinous Shield +1 combo over healing staff. I personally think you'd gain a little more out of the +8 MND than out of the 50 MP. However, if you wanted the MP you could make two seperate macros, one for when you are capped MP and then use the Club + Shield when you are down some MP.

I suppose it could also be used for a max potency swap, for all those... common... instances where whm's sub nin during big events/fights. Asklepios + Templar for 5% more than Light/Apollo's/Healing.

However the loss of mnd from /smn (presuming that's most common for HNM-y stuff) could be noticable. I think there's at least a 7 point difference if I change to /nin, so 21hp diff on Cure5... no the dual club combo still is more. I think roughly 650 base so 5% = over 30hp.

If you HAVE to carry around multiple items you could do a templar mace + numinous shield combo. But it's totally not worth the wasted 2 item slots vs healing staff full-time. Your call I guess if you have the inv space and want to put out that extra gil.

personally I prefer templar + numinous. But then again, I'm a MND whore. I enjoy breaking 900 HP healed without lightsday/weather
