Had a blast (literally and figuratively) in Bostaunieux Oubliette with Neyla. After working off my trial knuckle latents in Boyahda Tree, we ran down into the sewers to face Bodach and get my Asuran Fists.

It was not an easy fight because the skeleton has nasty AoE and hits like a truck, but there are a ton of leeches down there to throw at him. I ended up in the red a few times when Bodach would come gunning for me, and he could've easily finished me off with an AoE move at the wrong time, but we managed to bring him down without dying.

It felt like it took about twenty minutes, but I wasn't keeping track. I think if I ever did it BST-style again, I'd take a small army.

Naturally, I had to run out and try Asuran Fists and sample the awesome cuteness of the taru backflip. Neyla even snagged a great pic.

Extra thanks to Neyla for helping me kill it, and some thanks to Quieren for offering to tank the mob in a conventional setup if we didn't manage to pull it off. Honorable Mention to Enikxi at Allakhazam for posting that it was possible for two Beastmasters to kill him, or else I never would've thought to try it that way.

One more reason I love this job.

Grats mate. Still doesn't make you a mean taru....

Congratulations!

I also just got this last night, using 2 BST. Although with stoneskin his AoE did 0.

BST Powar!

Impressive. We wiped on it once with...5 i think? Lol. I know Vandy and Knightblade were there. Duo'ing that is quite a skill indeed. Grats :)

Why are the WS NM's so different in difficulty. Blade: Ku is so easy, I duo'd it with Chiimi and even then it wasn't even remotely difficult.

Grats on Asuran and even better that you get the backflip :)

Heh, Stine and I were helping Hornless camp Mysticmaker one night and we saw two lv75s (a NIN and a WHM) go for Blade: Ku. We saw them run through Mystic's camp, then about 20 minutes later, we saw the WHM come running back through, in the red, with the crab chasing her ass down. She died just before she got to the main room of LoZ.

Now the story gets cool. I know that WSNMs will go back to their spawn points, and that's what the crab did. However, along the way, he passed right by us; we waved at him, and then he went and tracked Stine down (we had not cured the WHM at all as we didn't notice her til she was nearly dead already). He dispatched Stine (lv62 PLD at the time) like it was no business at all, then he gunned for me. I put Flee up like a mad freak and dashed to the exit, crab in pursuit. While I ran away, Hornless threw down some Sneak/Invisible/Deodorize skills and watched that fucker walk right by her >.>

Weirdest mess I've ever seen in the labyrinth.

Awesome Hal!!! I can't wait to get that high with my monk.

Grats Taru!

I've got to say, that's a very cool screen capture. It kind of makes me want to level monk just to be able to do that. :spiteful:

Very many congratulations, Hal. I don't have a single weapon skilled high enough (black mage that I am) for a quested weapon skill. Now I feel like going to work on staff, at least.

I want a backflip in my WS. >_<
