An airship hummed lightly as it passed over the sea's near Bostok. An unuseal noise began to toy with the local fishermens ears. A screaming noise. It seemed to grow louder. A small black dot seem'd to seperate from the shiloette(sp) of the Airship. The silver dot grew large, the noise growing louder. It began to gather speed getting closer and cloesr the noise growing louder and louder. Soon the dot took the shape of a figure. To large to be a tarutaru and to small to be any of the larger races. The screaming grew louder as the figure hit the water. The splash radiated a few meters upward but the sea settled again. No sign of the boy reserfacing.

-One week later-

A small black figure lies on the shore near Bastok. The wave lap gentally around his ankles. No sign of movement. No sign of life. A local fisherman passes on his way to his watering hole.
'Huh? What on earth?!' He drops his things running over in panic.
'Hey? Kid? Are you alright?' He shakes the figure gentally.
'Damn it' He glances around and ifts the figure up carrying him to the small hut just on the edge where the shore met the solid land.

- 3 more days pass-
'Mmmm' The figure stirs. The teenage boy, now clearly washed and of hume in race. The boy slowly sits up glancing around as his eyes come into vision. The boy is of dark hair. It lies gentally on his shoulders. His deep blue eyes radiate seemling clam. He glances around the empty hut the fire embers glow light a few ashes dance mereily before dieing out.
'H....He....Hello?' The boy mutters gentally wiping his eyes.
'Huh?! Your awak' The fisherman pops his head up from a hamock next to the bed.
'Good! Great!' He hops up, the jolly fat man was quite a funny sight to behold. His body round and plum. His eyes brown and firm. A long raggyed beared hung from his chin. A large nose made him look something from a childs fairy tale.
'Are you allright? I was getting worried, you hadn't moved for three days!'
The boy glanced around
'W....W...Who...' The man cuts him off 'I'm Cedric! if thats what you want to know' He beams a polite smile. The boy nods but then shakes his head. 'W...Who am... Who am 'I'?' The boy asks of Cedric. Cedrics smile quickly vanishes. 'Wwwwhat? You dont know who you are? Oh n, this isnt good oooooo no' Cedric shoke his head and paced back and forth thoughtfully.
'Do you even know where you came from?' Cedric asked looking to the boy raiseing his brow in hope. The boy replyed with a shake of his head. Cedric ponders again for a moment. He raises a finger rushing around again pulling out a small sack.
'I found this book on your person, it hasnt got anything in it but a name' He turns it so the teenager can see it.
The book reads;
-To me dear Atrum Parvulus-

The book glances to it then looks blankly to Cedric.
'Mmm, well perhaps we best call you atrum, until you remeber things' He glances around.
'Perhaps you shuld go to Bastok, someone may know you there!' He smiles
'I intend to go there in the morning to sell my catch on the amrket. I'll take you, get some rest!' The jolly fat man smiled again before rushing aorund getting thigns together. The boy gave a weak smile back before lieing his head down once more too rest.

(( OOC: Oh what the heck, been a while since I RP’d. ))

Steam traced an arc across the air, issuing from the deep and unfathomable lava below. Her sister hung from one claw posed into the red dirt, her nails breaking and tearing as she slowly slid down. Her eyes were a wild fury, their soft amber color replaced by the violet shock of iminant death.

“Tsuim, I need you to trust me,” Alyada said coolly, her hand wrapped around a grounded rock. She reached her long hand down the small crater—reaching.

“I will jump down there, I will die for you, you have to trust me, give me your other hand!” she shouted, her voice barely a whisper above the churning magma.

Tsuim, a young Mithran girl with light brown hair stare at her sister. She was slipping. She had to do something now.

With a push Tsuim caught Alyada’s dangling hand. With prenatural strength, Alyada began to lift her trembling sister. Then it crashed through.

It was a terrible beast, formed of rock and red hot liquid. Ashen horns adorned its face right above two eye-like openings. It roared searing heat. Fire incarnate.

Ifrit.

With his might hand, he snatched Tsuim from Alyada like a rag doll. The lava shot into the air, exploding the small volcano in a hail of dust, ash, and fire.

Alyada tumbled down the face of a cliff, her skin burning with white pain. Fire engulfed every piece of her, every facet of her body—and her mind.

She said she would die for Tsuim, but as she lay there tortured on the rock of Ifrit’s Cauldron, she knew she would not die. She was a liar.

Francine had seen many Red Mages in her time. They came and went from the Republic of Bastok, each full of themselves to the point where they would soon overflow with arrogance. They wore their hats as a symbol of higher power. They mocked those who they deemed unworthy.

That’s why she was so surprised to deal with this Red Mage.

She was a tall and slender thing, fully dressed in the traditional Warlock gear. Her entire body was covered in red and black, with a fine sword resting lazily on her hip. She was of Mithran descent, her tail drooping around her left leg. The only skin Francine saw was the outline of her jaw, the rest of her face was covered by her crimson chapeau.

“Meatkabob, please,” the Red Mage asked, holding out a hand full of gil.

“Oh, my dear, that’s too much for my little kabob!” Francine declared.

“I hear they are the best in all of Bastok, they are worth my price.”

The Red Mage put the gil on the table, walking away with her kabob.

Francine just stared in disbelief.
