Since we are all obviously a bunch of slackers... I say this because we are always posting on these forums... And if we weren't working we would be playing, so I am assuming you people are like myself sitting at a desk at work...

So is anyone interested in an IRC channel?
 
those bastards I work for won't let me download IRC so unless someone's got a java site to link thru I can't make it. I do have a way into Gamesurge...so if someone set something up on there i could make it.

I’ll look to see if I can find a Java IRC Client and set it up on my server for you.

I know that the IRC network I have mIRC set up to has a Java client on their website. Slashnet.org. I used it to chat while I was at school.
 
I set up a channel on irc.enterthegame.com #QCDN, If enough people show up I will settup a Chanserv.

So download IRC, the server name is irc.enterthegame.com, and type /join #QCDN and you are set.

can't do it here, being I work for the local school district at the moment, they've pretty actively port blocked damn near everything that has to do it having fun on the internet.

same here...i work for a municipality...can't download...so again if someone sets it up where i can access the channel thru java I'll be there
 
Another site I used to hang out at used the Webmaster java client for their chatroom. They have free services available, all you'd need is a site to link it to. Heh. The address is http://www.webmaster.com
 
yeah . . . I'd have to do some serious IP tunneling to get Java working from my office . . . which would raise heads . . . which would raise the unemployment rate

I do helpdesk at work.. so i'm at the pc all day... and listen to idiots who call... i got plentiful of time!! weee.... but can we use other programs than mric??? my boss's desk is facing my monitor... lmao...
 
Maybe Gamesurge is a better network for this channel? Since FFXI official NA channel has been there since release and all the server channels used to be there as well (I dont know if they still are I stopped idling in Quetzalcoatl months ago).

We could setup a QCDN channel (I can't do it as a permanent channel but as long as someone is in it'll be up. I'll do it now if anyone wants to join feel free. If you're unfamiliar with it when you get to the Welcome screen just type /join #QCDN ...see ya there!
 
I stopped by a few days ago. It was only Phraust was there, and I left a few minutes later because I had work.
