I have heard that some server are Boycotting, Some of the price is getting really stupid

My friend who is in Alexander server, people are getting along and Boycotting the AH

She told me there is like 12 villy cloak, 20+ sniper Ring, 20+ Astral Ring, 10+Scropian Harness, no one is buying them

if Alexander Server can do it, we should do

Lets all get together, and Boycott!, Don't buy expenive item in AH, let them rot in AH, and have choice to bring the price down due to overstock.

Don't Buy The Following Stuff
Astral Ring
Sniper Ring
Vermillion Cloak
Scorpion Harness
Spider Web
Hauby
Hauberk
Healing Staff
Astral Shield
Astral Earring
Spectacles
Crystal that is at a riduous price like 6k, 7k,8k for a stack of crystal
And Any thing that is 10mil+ or anything that is jump by 3x as much as 3 week before

Don't Buy those stuff, if we all work together like what Alexander server did, we can bring the price down.

Lets make our Server the best Server to be in!

I second that. Don't buy it and if demand goes down, so will price. Anything that's gone up in price unbelievably. Like that Lv30 body piece for NIN. Went up from 80k to 210k in a day. I don't even know what it's at now. The Nikkariaoe went from 600k to 900k in a day. Also, I don't know what that's at now. I quit NIN because everything's going up so much. Jusatsu, the tool for Jubaku (paralyze) is like 60k per stack. No wonder people don't use NIN for anything but tank. I know Shihei's expensive, but debuffing stuff is WAY more expensive.

Really, no need to boycott. People just need to gain a sense of what items are really worth, instead of throwing away more than whats necessary on them.

Also, rather than telling people to boycott those items, you should be telling the crafters to boycott the ingredients. And if you want Healing Staff to go down, give the gil sellers competition. Lately people haven't been camping against them at Roc and Simurgh as much as they should be.

boycott.
boycott those.
boycott the alternatives.
boycott cross counters, Ebow and Cassie earring.
boycott strider boots healing staff serket ring, blood sword.
if you've seen a gilseller camp the NM for something, boycott the drop.

boycott HQ staves NOW. i have mine already and anyone who pays this much is too rich for their own good or buys gil.

skaw,

can't agree with you on the "reason with crafters" idea. that's just absurd, man. their greed is a big reason for the price hikes. i've researched a few items, and it seems the price for the materials for a good many items did not spike 100% like the end item (hauby, scorpion harness, etc)...10-25% at most. only the price for the end item was "jacked-up" considerably. (example: hachiman domaru--price for materials only went up 5-20% each. NQ item was being sold near close to the cost to synth. however, the domaru doubled in price in about a week from ~400K to 1mil now. many crafters are just using the excuse that material costs are going up so they can extort ridiculous prices.)

the boycotting would probably work the best. if people boycot the end items, the crafters would be stuck with the item. with surplus goods accumulating in inventory, i'm willing to bet they are going to think twice about paying for overpriced materials and placing a hauby up for auction at a 50% increase.

this really isn't about cost of materials. it's more about people not earning their gil to know what its value is, coupled with the fact that people are greedy and will charge as high as the next lemming is willing to spend.

But isn't people buying items at the current rate by definition an indication that the item is worth to the buyer whatever the buyer is paying?

Price is a trickel down effect, price of the ingot goes up hauby goes up, archers rings go up sniper go up.

People almost had an anurism when I raised the celeta to 130, because the price of dark ingots went up, now dark ingot stacks are at 700 gil a stack. This is a just an example.

But you'd have to convince the people supplying the materials to charge less, also the people camping the NMs to sell for less.

in the end I don't see this happening too many people with too much greed and only looking out for #1

EDIT : Also people were quick to call me greedy because I was selling a crafted product, but no one said a thing about the people who raised the price on the D ingot some as much as 2 million a day! Maybe because their not crafters I geuss.

If someone thought Honda Civics were worth $100,000, does that mean everyone does?

These rampant price rises are coming from two things. People with too much gil and not enough sense, and an increase in raw material costs, most likely funding the prior.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you're buying these items at their ridiculous prices, don't cry about it costing so much. And if you're selling raw items(V. Claw, D. Ingot, D. Cloth) at what they go for now, instead of what they were, you're part of the cycle of blame.

The game has functioned before these items were available, even in their rare form. It can function without. Don't fall in to the hype that you actually need them.

That's my point exactly though. If Honda could sell Civics at $100,000 at a rate high enough to sustain their business, then they would. Those who couldn't afford a 100k Civic but wanted one would bitch about it, but so what? As long as enough people consider the Civic worth paying 100k for Honda will sell it at 100k.

Those who can't afford it will have to go and by a Yugo for 10k. It will drive, it will get them where they have to go, and they "saved" 90k.

But again, people paying whatever the asking price is means that those people feel the item is worth the expense to them. It's unrelated to whether everyone or anyone else agrees with the view of the buyer.

Get off on the foreign cars guys. Good grief, if I was gonna pay 100k for a car it'd Chevy vs. Ford. American made boys!!!!!

I had no plans of buying any of those anyways ~.~

I don't have 10 million gil, so this will be the easiest boycott ever!

Boycott! :O

Buy no expenive item!

I haven't buy anything from AH for a while except for a little skill up for my crafts
