Also, the SMN kept Carby out the entire time. Perhaps you need to have an avatar up while AStral Flowing for the 2-hour to actually be "locked"?
 
Can't use Astral Flow without a pet present.
 
You sure? Granted, I haven't played SMN in like 3 years. I was sure you could use it without a pet present xD

Oh well, that would explain it then. Still, seems like they have a row of people just lined up and ready to use 2-hours.

Actually I wondered why no one tried it. We lock his 2-hours by using our own, it seems rather simple and direct.

Did no one really try it? I'm sure i've heard this strategy before.
 
Two JoL pops tonight, no AV, he has appointments on other servers it seems.

chance of poping AV. You can go 6-10+ JOL's without seeing him.

Also how about that tornado II? Notice how they did bar aero? Then notice when he chain spell notice no tornado II, he cast every spell but tornado II. I thought it might be the invincible at first, but with further review of the video it might have been use to gain quick hate due to his tanking partner about to die.

Oh, cause Tornado II is so dangerous compared with Aeroga IV.

I could further prove my point why YOU shouldn't melee, maybe other RDM can, but it would be in bad taste. One day it'll taste so good, just you wait.

Please please don't turn this in a RDM melee thread... please. I know Hellstorm posted something about it, but please don't perpetuate it. Many threads in the Flameboard for that.

It won't. The RDM tanking strategy has already been debated. There is no need for it in this thread.

Dezvoltare, and we just burned our JoL pops last weekend so we're building back up should be a couple weeks before we pop again.

I do believe the same with Perfection although I'm not sure, I remember a person posting about their kills this past weekend.

What I noticed was that the spells weren't always aligned with the day, there was still the thundaga III while it was windsday and when it came out of the 'UFO' there was thunder being casted on lightning's day but ice being casted on the same day as well.

maybe the casting of the primary element first is part of the strategy?

I assume you're talking about Jailer of Love here, cosidering the "UFO" remark, and mentioning of "ga" spells.

Jailer of Love has nothing to do with lowering AV's resistance as far as spells go. Jailer of Love switches reistance all the time. If you nuke with Thunder while she's in Thunder form, she'll absorb the damage. Thus, you need to switch the nukes according to her current element.

They nuked with Thundaga on the summons because its simply the highest damaging Ga spell,and her summons are not strong to it.

Demo Ls, the first LS to pop AV after the video was released, confirmed that AV pretty much never resisted a single elemental spell cast on the correct day. They also confirmed that his Regen seemed to have stopped completely. However, this has nothing to do with Jailer of Love at all.

The Ice they casted on AV was a misstake, is my guess. It was 0:05 game time of Lightningsday, and only 1 BLM casted it.
