AV defeated. Official Video

Dezvoltare, and we just burned our JoL pops last weekend so we're building back up should be a couple weeks before we pop again.

I do believe the same with Perfection although I'm not sure, I remember a person posting about their kills this past weekend.

As of now we have two JoL pops. We'll probably be popping them this saturday.

Oh, cause Tornado II is so dangerous compared with Aeroga IV.

I could further prove my point why YOU shouldn't melee, maybe other RDM can, but it would be in bad taste. One day it'll taste so good, just you wait.
but why zoom in on the chat log to show the bar aero? It's a hint. Could be the way to stop tornado II could be the way to stop aero dmg. Only time will tell. The chainspell after chainspell could be to stop chainspell from launching again, the manafont could be for comet and the SV could be for meteor. Since either the invincible conjunction with the bar aero or the bar aero it self after the tornado II, could be how they survived aeroga IV.

What's the point of Barareo stopping Tornado II when they're /nin? Last I checked Tornado II wasn't AoE so shadows stopped it. The Barareo was to help minimize the Dmg from Aergoga. You know, the spell that isn't absorbed by shadows.

I'm not sure if you know, but a WHM with capped Bar-spell merits and Blessed Briault have a 15MDB associated with their bar-spells. That means your Baraera gives you an extra 15MDB. Shellra V itself gives 25 MDB, for a grand total of 40MDB with the two spells combined.

This is why they zoomed in on Baraera. As a hint of how to reduce Aeroga IV damage. tbh, its quite a stupid hint. As I mentioned before, any WHM worth their salt should be keeping bar-spells up anyway...

Seems like a really dumb hint though. That's like pointing out a WHM casting Protectra because the tank is taking hits. Perhaps there is more to it though? Like the AI actually notices baraera up and would lean towards meleeing rather than casting?

---? ------ ? ---- 3:47---- AV with bracelets against the 2 rdm/? 2 pld/nin Drk/thf and Sam/thf in the foreground, Dark knight uses a WS which may be Shadow of Death
Catastrophe.

Actually shellra gives raw magic dmg% taken reduction and stacks with gear that has - magic dmg % taken. It may sound like it makes no difference, but magic damage % taken caps at 50%, making it important to know for gearchoice. MDB on the other hand doesnt actually cap, but has diminishing returns. But you can stack it next to your magic dmg % cut, to reduce magic dmg even further then the 50%

As I said, its a really stupid hint. And I doubt there's something more to it.

When asked how to avoid spells like Aeroga IV and Meteor, SE said its almost impossible to avoid them unless you're very skilled. You have to find a way to try and reduce their damage. So yes, I'd say that's the hint on how to reduce their damage.

I'm guessing the "very skilled" part is using enough 2-hours fast enough to somehow prevent him from switching to "Meteor to your face!!!" part.

Well, yes. The reduction it gives equals to roughly 25MDB (24,2%), which is why I mentioned it. Each MDB point reduces magic damage by a little under 1% each. While separate effects, I compared them as one and the same to show the importance of Bar-spells.

Edit: 1 MDB reduces magic damage taken by roughly 0.8%. Each merit upgrade to Shellra V reduces magic damage taken by 0.8%, as well. Although I guess Shellra V would equal roughly 26MDB then.

Yea the actual reduction is about the same, with no other buffs or gear. But its a question of how they stack, wich can be very important.

What's a barspell? >.>

Jk lol. But yeah its a stupid hint. I agree with you Uzor.

Yes, but once again, it was a comparison to show its importance :P

Speaking of which, Defense would be so much more useful if it worked like Magic Defense =(

They're not zooming in on the fucking barspell, they're focusing on the day change, and the casting of a new elemental spell (Blizzard -> Thunder).

And no, it's not a 8 hour fight, or a few fights flicked together. SE just didn't put them in the 'right' order, so they could show the hints seperately.
The whole fight took about 2-3 hours, as far as it's shown.

If by using certain 2hours after he uses one, negates the one he uses and prevents him from following up with another for the combo is what they're trying to tell us... well... doesn't really solve anything.
Because that first one could still be say Mijin Gakure, and there wont be anyone to use a 2hour to "prevent" it...

However, the idea of him only being able to use 2hours that are available amongst the alliance fighting him is kinda attracting.
I highly doubt that is the case though, would make for a rather weak fight.
Compared to now atleast :p

Who fucking cares if you die at the first 2 hour? And if this is even true, it does solve A LOT. You're an idiot if you think wiping at 100-95% matters at all.

But nothing is sure yet. It will be tested.

Edit: Also, he used Hundred Fists in the video, though they had no MNK, so that idea of yours is ruled out long ago.

Edited out... or just learn to read.
I just said that if you cant *stop* him from using 2hours all together you're still fucked eventually...
Nothing about dying right away...

My god, 2 years later and there's still 99% numbnuts here...
Where do they all come from, what I wanna do to that place.

Way to completely miss the point there champ. Its true that if you wipe at 100% it doesn't matter. What does matter though is there there isn't really a way to stop it, you could wipe at 10% for all AV cares, and it goes the same way with benediction. If you get it down to 1% and it gets all its HP, better sit tight, because you have to do it all over again.

Sweet, atleast one sane person! /joy

Except that you have no idea, if it's possible to lock his 2 hours, or single some out that you can prevent him from using.

That's why it's being tested. Don't act like you know it all just yet.
