AV defeated. Official Video

I've stated before that JoL can be killed in as little as 30 min.

As for AV, Naotakun is actually right. The fight itself is no more then 2 hours. From Ice Day to Thundersday.

And seriously, did I miss something, or when did J'lo fights starting to take 3 hours? For most shells it takes no more then 1 hour.

Thank you for clarifying again for me.

Anyone notice the PLD used Invincible just before Lightningday began? AV didn't 2-hour here, why would SE include it? It's like the PLD was saying, "I won't get to do this all Lightningday so better get it in now." This combined with the fact that he didn't use Invincible all of Lightningday makes me think that element has something to do with it: Invincible is Earth-based, and Earth is strong to Lightning.

Maybe we shouldn't use 2HRs that are strong to the day. I conjecture that using 2HRs that are strong to the element of the day will cause AV's 2-hours to unlock again. This is why when the LSs used all the 2-hours at once, AV still spammed them.

Notice also that they didn't use any fire-based two-hours on Iceday--then again, the only fire-based ones are Mijin Gakure and Mighty Strikes. But still, it's consistent.

Edit: Just watched the JP video, and the PLD does use Invincible on Iceday twice--I listened for the *clank!*.

AV will suck if he pops on Lightsday... There's almost no offensive damaging spells that's light based, and there's only Drain/Aspir/Bio and the SCH Helix spell for Darksday... gonna be really slow in that situation.

That's at the most 3 hours. The AV video made by SE was from Windsday to Thundersday. That's, at the most, 3 hours. And that's assuming thye popped Jailer of Love at the begining of Windsday, and AV died at the end of Thundersday.

The preparation for the fight can be long. For the fight itself, it seems the length is invertly proportionnal to the quality of your BLMs.

Looks to me, like he's using Invincible to try and save the other PLD, but is too slow.

I would hope the Devs wouldn't record a mistake, and then put it in all 4 versions. And zoom in on it. Ya know?

You're talking about the people that made Absolute Virtue, Almighty Apkullu, broke the white Gate > Nashmau ship to be instant, and after 2 tries of trying to fix it, managed to do nothing but make the problem worse. The same people that also took 2 years to fix Valor Surcoat showing the wrong DEF bonus, and that also took 3 months of fixing the error with PS2 players freezing up as soon as they talk any of the key NPC's in White Gate, the same people that also accidentally broke Salvage for over 1 month to make the Zhayolm Boss, and any Gear(s) NM 100% unbeatable due to accidentally adding a 0 in the code, as well as accidentally making the Warhorse Hoofprint spawning in inaccesable areas, making the rank-up quest almost impossible to beat?

Seriously, are we talking about the same SE, because I don't see how it'd be impossible for SE to put a small error in to the video? Especially since the Invincible is not what they zoomed in on.

As I've said before, they zoomed in on the day change/new nukes part.

I doubt they really give a fuck about one of their PLDs being a little slow/unlucky.

They also show a PLD lying dead in the video.

I hope you're not proposing that the SE devs are perfect and never makes any mistakes?

Certainly not. I just don't think they would zoom in on their mistakes. As for the element-of-the-day theory, I think they'd assume we knew that one just by looking at what spells were cast.

By your reasoning, you need to cast Blizzard IV on AV on thundersday. Just look at the BLM casting Blizzard IV on Thundersday! They even zoomed in on it!

It must be a sign!

we are thinking too hard ...

we need a 2nd hint :P

Why on earth did they do that?

That must have made the regen go up something fierce.
