AV Down for the count

Considering they used a Dynamis-Xarcabard tactic of using terrain to keep the enemy from attacking, plus using the Jailor weaponry was quite nice. I'm amazed that they found out how to stop the 2-hours, though even more-so amazed that they killed AV within 1-2 hours. Kudos to Apathy on getting the title of "Virtuous Saint".. though kinda feel sorry for 'em on getting nothing, especially since you could get the item for Ninurta's Sash from AV (which is a very, very valuable item, if you ask me).

Right here

Yeah but since its another AV thread i thought it would be page 10000 by the time i read the first 2 pages

All you people who flame them because they used the wall trick are fucking retarded. It's not against ToS and it's a legitimate strategy. It's also the only known working strategy and by now I'm sure most LSs have tried damn near everything. If you're searching for the solution to a problem and find that solution, you'd more than likely take it. If not you're a masochistic idiot.

using the glitch is more legal than the windower D: hahah fun

I think the most interesting part is how on another server they tried this tactic (walls, but not jailer weapons) and were told by the GM to stop or Jail.

We all know the GMs are inconsistent but this REALLY shines a light on it. Considering the effort it takes to get all the pop items, let alone beat him, they need to take this as a sign to straighten out the GM situation.

I wouldnt call it a "Glitch", a glitch would be if they pinned it against something that wasnt there, like some sort of invisible wall. BLM's and RNG's have been pinning things against fences and rocks since the beginning of time, why not AV?

I really wouldn't call it a glitch. It's more of an abuse of pathing. The AI doesn't know how to get to the ones hurting it, and basically just tries its best to within it's limits.

Question how are the Jailor weapons used? do you mean equipting them ?

The most significant thing IMO is that the Remora shell got a Good Luck from a GM right when AV popped... and that same GM congratulated them when they finally got the fabled 0%.

A GM watched their entire fight.

I wonder if the GM was breaking the rules by letting them continue.....meh...who knows. It gives me too much of a headache to think on all this. All I can say is, congrats to them killing AV, regardless how they did it.......they did it. I think thats a huge accomplishment....so much that 0 drops isnt that big of deal....kinda. :P

Like I said, the GM probably made it so AV didn't drop shit for them :P That would be some hilariousness right there. Gogo NA button :O

Grow up and pull those panties out of your butt Hauce. It's just a discussion not some life threatening issue.

it's a legitimate strategy.

Obviously not since a GM has stopped people from doing it before. This wasn't the first time it has been done but the only time allowed for it to continue until 100% death of the mob.

by now I'm sure most LSs have tried damn near everything.

I doubt it, I bet most Ls' have sit on their ass and just waited for someone else to tell or show them what works. There are very few accounts of anyone even toying with AV to the extent of saying they spent many hours working on a strategy. It's mostly "LOLZ AV popped we whiped in no time end of story."

Just curious, but would they get title even if the mob was CFH when it died?

I think an SS of the kill would be nice.

lol even Tiamat dropped a fire crystal

[Signet][You can have this.]

I thought you weren't able to get crystals because its out of conquest.. Maybe I'm wrong, Oh well.

you can't be too sure the GM stopped them from doing that on another server as you're not on that server.

GM might aswell have sopped them from using hacks or w/e, and they didn't want to admit to using hacks. On another note, this pwns our "No drop Tiamat" XD

Its not a glitch, its a feature.

=3

QFT in my opinion. Everything inside the game is fair game. Thats how SE designed it, they could have forseen this happening, and easily not have included the wall when developing CoP.

(edit-got too caught up with the arguement :p) Congrats go out to the ls on remora, thats an awesome acchievement even if they didn't get much from it.

This time the GM didnt tell them to stop using the wall trick. I bet he just went and turned off the drops :|
