Where do the 225+ weapon skills work as far as lvl 2 SC are concerned?

Can Double Puch, Burning Stike, Tail Whip, and other such skills be used in a skillchain?

I know Punch, axe Kick, Baracuda dive and the rest of those can be, but those are like the first attacks you get with em. Where do the rest work into skillchains?

edit: changed the name of the thread to better reflect the direction in which I am steering it.

Yes they can, there's a full skillchain chart with all of them.

I'll have to investigate.

[Edit] Found it:

Very nice, exactly what I was looking for, although a bit more convaluted than the one I'm used to using.

I use then Renkai Chart posted at Gamefaqs, I'd link to it, but they don't allow such things to be done.

I'll problly just edit the file to include the Bloodpacts.

Thanks for the info

How bout Double Slap, Eclipse Bite, Spinning Dive, Mountain Buster, Chaos Strike, Predator Claws, Flame Crush and Rush?

Can avatars not make Light/Darkness Skillchains?

And Diabolos' abilites as well. Don't know them as I haven't really partied much since they added him.

Avatars can't make level 3 chains, because the level 65/70 bloodpacts don't chain with anything. I havent' found a chart with Diabolos on it, but I'm sure the same applies to him.

Well, I have only played the job to 39, but the reason I like it so much is because I can heal, I can nuke, I can buff, or I can SC.

I like doing multiple things in a battle. It makes me feel important to give all the mages Blink and then a minute later throw thunderspark on fragmentation for 300 damage.

Also, I hear those lvl 70 BPs do more damage than Astral Flow abilities. Izat really true? Do you just use astral flow for 0 perpetuation cost after lvl 70? I've only heard this from one person, and I was doing promyvians at the time (and he refused to use Inferno because he said no perpetuation cost would be more helpful... at lvl 30... vs. Holla NM).

So I already know he is a fool at the lower levels, but is that really true about the high levels? All this info is making summoner seem less and less fun.

Can still use it for AOEs post-70. Most of the 70BPs lose a lot (read: lot) of strength if it doesn't totally hit (strength tends to go from 1300ish to 700ish, no inbetween). 2h is also useful if you get a link of some sort and needto finish off the mob you're already on as well as somewhat damage the add, and 2h can also MB, which will in fact outdamage the 70 BPs.

Before Lv.70 Astral Flow should be used as normal, using Inferno, Diamond Dust, whatever else. Once you hit Lv.70 and as you do more things, Astral Flow becomes mostly used for the 0 perpetuation cost so you can use the Lv.70 Bloodpacts. To me, as a Lv.70 Summoner, the 70 Bloodpacts feel more reliable than the Astral Flow Bloodpacts. I've seen it too many times where I'd hit Astral Flow and maybe do like...100 damage whereas I have more confidence in the 70 Bloodpacts and they tend to not do less then about 500~ish damage. They can go lower, but for me they really haven't. Trust me, if you take Summoner to 70 you'll love it once you actualy hit 70. The 70 Bloodpacts are soooo much fun and their animations are pretty cool too.
