Honestly, I dont see how it is so wrong to do what I need to do to ensure the claim. I wouldn't spend 3 hours sitting there to not give it my best shot. If the same situation were to arise again, I would probably handle it differently, but the fact remains that I did nothing wrong and I merely used my abilities to my advantage.

To create a right and wrong in society you get into some higher lvl ethics which have many factions. I personally prefer utilitarian ethics which in this case would say what he did was wrong. No one has said that. You can camp an nm without stalking the other players and maintain your advantage.

Actually, in this situation I kept my advantage by my positioning in comparison to the other camper.
This so called "stalking" was not stalking at all. I didnt have alterier motives as you implied. I was merely keeping position on the other camper. This whole stalking/following thing is blown way out of proportion.

I really think some people have skipped over my posts. I've clearly stated that's it's my OPINION that what you did was an asshole thing to do. There's a difference between utalizing your abilities in game and being a dick. Is it wrong to claim an NM that's flashed yellow when someone's killing it? Is it wrong to cast cure IV on someone while fighting an NM and run? Is it against the rules or a matter of opinion on whether or not you should do these things? Yeah it is, but it doesn't change the fact that anyone with any contact with other people/players knows it's a wrong thing to do. There's no rule against it but it's still wrong. I feel what you did to me was wrong. You knew you had the advantage, I knew you had the advantage...why couldn't you just leave it at that? I've camped and lost claim to Padfoot many times to monks, warriors, red mages etc but like I said before I've never encountered what you did. You're the only camper I've ever met that I wouldn't send my congrats to if you got the drop and I didn't.

Wow (not referring to wowzer) this has turned into something very humerous. Clearly if you say camping on top of someone and moving with them is bad sportsmanship, tactics etc you have never camped a worthwile HNM or 21-24 hour pop. First thing most do is pair up with someone on the opposing side and follow them around unless the area is within full reach. I CC a WHM on this mob the same way and you know how she reacts? Everywhere I go she goes everywhere she goes I go and we have a blast emotiong and speaking to one another. HNM camping is not for the light hearted, weak, or the people who go out there to half ass claim. Can't take CC don't start poo just leave.

He has Provoke, she has Dia. Provoke is instant, and it can be used while running towards the NM. With Dia you have to stop, then wait for the cast. So following her that close was really uncalled for.

While I go NM camping, I look at my advantages and my disadvantages and decide what would be the best strategy to camp it. But I would never follow someone that close. I treat the other campers as equals, not matter what job they are. If you feel that you had the advantage, then why follow like that? You can stand a little away, maybe look other in other places, etc. While you're following her around, what if he pops in another area right near you? You wouldn't really know because you're too busy following one person.

I've never said I want to camp HNMs, I just want the god damn earring. I THOUGHT it was an asshole thing to do which is why I never brought it up here knowing it was a matter of opinion.
