The RdM that solo's... ya know.. like everything? Genbu, Ash Dragon, etc....
I'm curious, everyone says "(s)he has millions upon millions of gear etc etc"

Does anyone know the exact Avesta setup? I'm a rdm, so of course my dream is to stand up and follow the best right? I never expect to be -as- good, that's foolish, but I'd like to know.. -exactly- what gear helps make this RdM the best in XI?

The other things are pretty basic RDM equip.

I will say however that he have 5 merits in Wind Accuracy and 5 in Ice Accuracy, as for magic merits, I think he capped Enfeebling. He also have some in Evasion, Spell Interruption rate down etc. He also put some in dagger I believe, mainly to raise his accuracy as he likes to solo stuff by equipping a low-damage dagger, and thus hitting for 0 while using an en-spell.

If you really want to know, I'm doing the same set up, but its not really a unique one... most RDMes that like to solo do the same I believe.

I'm quite sure that the Crimson Cuisses were used too, in order to kite efficiently.

As Uzor said, self-explanatory RDM equipment. Those videos are somewhat old, so I won't be surprised to see the new recent equipments added to the lot :nyam: (HQ Artifact + Relic Gear, the earrings, fast cast boots/earring)
 
I think he merited elemental skill too, for his blm.
 
Not all of it is equip, (s)he's very good at his job. Javir and I tried to duo ZM17 after watching his solo fight. We got the first form down but the second form really beat us up. He's got a lot of skill to tank/nuke/convert during that form. (S)He's really something else.
 
Be careful about getting too good at your job. I've been reading Allakazham a lot and the other Rdms blame him/her for all their problems. If you want a good Allakazham rep amongst your fellow Rdms, please, strive for mediocrity.

I tried that too, and succeeded ^^ I'm sure I could do it solo too with some practice, but I don't feel like spending 150k every time untill I finally succeed <.<;
 
I would like to try some of the things he does out myself. Though I don't intend to watch and study anything he does in order to figure out how to do it if I decide to take a swing at it. I mean half the fun is figuring it out for yourself and inventing your playing style. If you follow someone elses you will never be as good as the other person because it is not how you play specifically. Sure in the end the playing style may be almost the same, but a simple swap in how to cast things or the such will make a differance.
 
By the way, not only does Avesta have full AF2, all of his gear is HQ where possible/feasible. For example, he has full Mahatma.
