On average, you can waste 3 hours of your life to sit in mind numbingly boring Dynamis.

Your reward?

Some horrible AF2. I just went 5/5 last night and the only cause of celebration is that I can now store the set. It waste inventory space. It really is that bad. No, I'm not telling anyone anything that they don't know.

I just believe that career DRKs should avoid Dynamis altogether. Boycott. In fact, I believe a letter writing campaign or something else extreme should transpire so that Dynamis is eliminated from the game altogether.

I know this isn't Warcraft and the point of this game is to band together, build rapport, and prosper. But this armor is weak.

hands & legs both have dark magic + which i could see being useful for a macro, other than that the sets not great. Then again, which job actually gets more than 1 useful piece from dynamis?

War - possibly worse than drk, total crap.
Thf - hands for TH whoring, head maybe for SA.
Pld - mostly good, but only macroed for specific /ja.
Whm - (don't remember exact stats) Again mostly only useful for occasional macros, regen bar~ etc.
Rdm - Head's awesome, rest macroed in for spells/specific actions (MDB for tanking)
Nin - hands (at night) & body good, rest pretty much crap (yeah yeah ninjitsu skill+... shh)

I could go on, but i'm sure you get my point. Almost all relic sets are useless if you consider them full time pieces at this stage in the game.

AF2 drk is used for DRK magic casting. Nice to have those enhanced drain aspirs and absorbs no? DRK AF2 isnt wasted, its situational, and guess what? ALL or MOST AF2s are situational for every job...

Is there an echo in here?

Nevermind.

Hey Blade, I heard you like echoes.

I wonder how many DRKs use Abyss cape over Foragers or Amemet+1 on a fulltime basis?

Answer: none.

I know Serise used settler's cape on faf/nidd (and probably other things) when he was there on dark and i consider him a competent dark... I bet if he had abyss cape he would probably use that over settlers since it wouldnt cost him the attack and the HP as well not to mention the WS acc cannot be a bad thing.

Alot of darks i see give up far too much acc and i dont really understand it.

Exactly.

Shame on you Brydan, for calling yourself a Dark Knight and not wanting AF2.

Sure, it might be complete crap (mostly), but the hands and legs alone have value (:dur:echo for Bladewind).

Try being a Dark Knight, leading a shell, and not having any AF2 drop in six months, while being 2/5 on your DRK and BLM items.

M.Acc+7. Do you even cast spells? I swear half the people that level drk are complete nimrods.

Exactly the same reason I see many competent DRK phasing out N.Hands/Feet for Ares, even Black Cuisses for Askar Dirs. Sure, STR+50 with a measily ACC+20 or so (throwing numbers outa my ass) may seem viable for Guillo, you're going to whiff more often than not, when using meat.

I use that cape over amemets+1 because it seems to work better for me.

I use the legs for casting, not the hands though. Rather have crimson hands. Also the cape would be nice for casting but I hate dynamis and rarely ever do it so its one piece I'll most likely have to make do without ;/

I wonder how many DRKs full time plastron over berk.

That's a no-shit but if one doesn't do sky (re: me), the AF2 hands are a very viable option for Dark Magic macros.

See the "Dark Magic Equip" thread in this forum for anything to do with why Abyss Cape is boss, also.

Quite a few. I've seen lots in campaign, dynamis, and even one meripo.
