Avoid Illusionangel like the plague

Do Ninja even throw shuriken anymore, no one ever talks about it. I used to offhand an archer, and throw Juji shuriken and that helped keep a lot of hate until I got to the elemental wheel. And even then I still tossed them out sometimes until I got Jin.

The elemental spells are a waste in the jungles and anytime until 40. Though you can cast one to help land an enfeeb in you need to. But the others are not wastes. Blind and especially slow are useful from the moment you get them.

But When people ask about advanced jobs, I always tell them not to make Ninja or Rng their first one.

I feel as if Im the only person that leveled NIN and used shuriken at the same time. Absolute rape if you keep up with the Shuriken, which gets very hard because of their price...

Shuriken are...fun. I wish I had throwing capped at 75 to try and go crazy with sange. I bet it's a good hate tool in salvage/limbus for opening a fight considerng the people that somone did 2k on puks with it once.
The lv 28 shuriken technically have more dps on em than a senju before dual wield gets factored in.

My point onthe nin tools is that the players are told not to waste gil on them at all. Not that oh once you get ni they do better damage. Also it is not hard at all to level crafts to a point where you can make most of your own tools. Hell tsura is done with no craft level needed. My point is simply these new ninja's are told "Don't waste gil" So odds are they never bought the Ni spells because they were told it is a waste. Unfortuantly players do not always explain that at a certain level things might change. As for the throwing i can only think of 2 players that had it capped before 75. I was told that it does great damage, just cost alot of gil when you get past 45.

You're a fucking moron.
How about the players actually listen to what they're being told (1st level elemental jutsu aren't worth it) rather than make absolutely idiotic assumptions based on it? (Durhur! Other jutsu must suck too!)

And on top of that, not enough pride in the job to do any independent research and maybe realize that the later ones ARE potent for a time, ARE useful, and definitely SHOULD be owned...

As long as everyone does their job even halfway decently, BCNMs are easy, there's no real excuse for that much idiocy.

Ele Jutsu dont really cost a lot when you buy them. Not unless you spend your time spamming the crap out of the spells.

99 of each tool should laste you for several hours if you use them right, even days

Um Ninja before it gets uber dps uses the ele wheel to keep hate if there is no thief. You pretty much have to spam the wheel to keep hate properly. So no a stack of 99 shouldn't be lasting days hours yes 1-2 days tops.

O_O

Shouldn't be days, 1-2 days..? Lost me/make up your mind?

Either way, unless you're being cheap or party for shorter increments than nuts like me do, I suppose I could see how a stack of elemental tools could last, but enfeeb(earlier lvs)/shadow tools? NOWAI!

1 wheel locks hate on you during the levels that they are worth using. Lowballing 75 dmg a spell, thats 450 damage in the first minute of a fight. That is all the hate you need, if the mob looks the wrong way, toss a spell at it, it will be right back. I went full fights with only the initial voke against my BLM and RDM friend, the RDM was fully merited BLM. They loved playing with me because they could go balls out.

If I was spamming the wheel, it is because I wanted do blow shit away. I had some great parties when the wheel was a viable option, even if I had to carry the party with my tools.

That ninja issue does suck. :-(
Too bad it caused losses for the team.

I'm not sure if anyone has already stated this since I've only read up on the main post only for now, but it might have been wise to stop doing the KSNM/BCNM by the first lost orb.

Once the group realized the issue, they could have dropped and replaced this person with someone more reliable.

Either way, the first orb holder would end up being screwed; taking a hit since the ninja issue hit unpredictably, but as for the remaining orbs; if you had a feeling she didn't have a right mind set; then that should've entitled an automatic kick.

This kinda reminds me of that old flame many months ago, where some person was notorious for going afk during BCNM battles and costing people their orbs.

It sucks that it happened man, but going forward if you do any pick-ups, if you feel a bad vibe or odd trend about a key person in the fight; its best to address it asap. If they can't commit to battle, then they will need to be released right away. In doing so, at least the remaining people are spared of having their time wasted.

Anyone who plays videogames understands that certain boss battles are always critical; expecially in an MMO.

Wow I never knew you felt every player plays on a PC or has access to one. I know alot of people whose only goal is to get 75 as fast as they can. Pride? I think not. This is a RPG not Socom or Halo. A true RPG take time. Players are taking jobs to 75 in under 2 months. It is not skill or pride that is getting them there. <please Note people get PLed even in garlige Citadel> For some players that cannot jump on a site where players say how to do a job they do their research by asking the 75's of said job. Guess what MORON they tell this players don't bother it is not worth it. Plain to see that it is the 75 "Mentors" Failure to explain the job. When i help a new player I actually take the time to explain, then i let them learn how. So maybe MORON's like you who wanna bitch about players being bad will stepped up and gave more than the 30 sec oh here's how to do nin these players might actually be half way decent. After all they will be in your endgame and answering you /sh KSNM. Also anyone who has done "research on~line can tell you that there is alot of false information. Someone pass garvin his sign because the world must be warned that idiots like him are allowed near the population.

My bad, I completely forgot about you, Keryan, I was having too much fun with Dehorse in the other thread.

Let's take this one step at a time.

A person paying for internet access, owning a PS2 only, in this day and age, is almost certainly a rarity. Worst case scenario, they probably know someone who does, or can use a public access point (Library, etc.) if there's something they want to look up. That's what I did before I owned a computer, video game related or otherwise.

I can't tell if you're supporting my point, or attempting to counter it. This is all completely true, and those people are playing entirely the wrong kind of game for their personality, or need to learn some patience.

For some players that cannot jump on a site where players say how to do a job they do their research by asking the 75's of said job. Guess what MORON they tell this players don't bother it is not worth it.
When I was levelling ninja, I asked more than just one person, and took what they all said into consideration, adapting their words to my playstyle as well, something I intend to do with any job I level. Maybe it was misinterpreted, maybe the person they asked was wrong, but I'm fairly confident if they'd asked more than one person, they would've said otherwise.

Plain to see that it is the 75 "Mentors" Failure to explain the job. When i help a new player I actually take the time to explain, then i let them learn how. I've always helped people who are willing to ask a question with an honest desire to learn. I should make a point that I don't end up helping many people.

After all they will be in your endgame and answering you /sh KSNM. Also anyone who has done "research on~line can tell you that there is alot of false information. Someone pass garvin his sign because the world must be warned that idiots like him are allowed near the population.
Yup. There's a lot of misinformation. Anyone drawing from and relying on one source only could wind up in trouble. Eggs in one basket and whatnot.

What I say stands completely. It's a little bit of effort, and requires critical thought, but too bad. It's not too much to ask.
