Ok, I wrote this guys name down, but I lost it :? But this guys name is Forviernt or something of the sort, Well hes a level 52 RDM, and a noob at that.

Well, I was parting with a couple buddies from my LS, and when they had to go they found replacements, well one of these "Replacements" Was this RDM named Forvient (not exactly sure), but I was a WHM healing my PT, and I ran out of MP and told the PT, and the RDM was just resting, I guess he was AFK, but when he returned he had full MP and I had nothing, well instead of healing the Tank, which had 14 life, he kept casting DD magic. My Party was like WTF?!? After I used Benediction and the party finally killed the Mob. The RDM said, "I can't cast spells if the Tank can't hold hate" Then he disbanded and warped.....This guy had to of bought his character, he was a complete noob, The worst part is that he was a RDM/WAR <~ Yeah, WTF?! is what I said.

So, this guy was drunk off his ass, or hes a damn HLv. Noob.

Sorry, if its hard follow this story , I had to type fast, cause I'm kinda busy.

That's why if there is ever going to be replacements, the leader should find them(or if leader is leaving, new leader). Your LS members obviously didn't give a shit about the party they were leaving to invite a RDM/WAR to replace themself. It's not like they have to party with them, they just need someone to show up so they can go.

Uhh...

Actually, My LS member cared, we all looked for replacement, the there were only 2 available, and those were the ones we got.

I'm betting that those LS members that were leaving saw the guy subbing WAR and figured he'd be smart enough to change it to his normal sub before leaving town. Maybe he had been farming recently or something, and subbed WAR for it? Maybe he just got done playing a different job that had WAR sub, changed his main back to RDM, and forgot to (or didn't bother to) change his sub off of WAR?

I can understand what you're saying, and I'd agree with you if they got someone that's 2 levels too high, or got a SAM to replace a WHM, or some other messed up thing like that. But in this case, I don't think it would have mattered if the person leaving or the leader had looked for a replacement, unless the leader already knew that he was a bad player.

Yea I agree with Fire. The leader has an invested intrest in the party, the guy looking for a replacement just wants to leave.

Besides that the only thing worse then a rdm war is a pre 74 rdm nin in an exp party... Probaly talking about how they are a "1337" tank... ::Shudders::

Funny, but I thought invites drop like a rock when you have a sub-par sub because people are smart enough to know that people are dumb enough not to change to a better sub before leaving town.

Definately agree with leader looking for replacements though. But I just suck at finding replacements. So that might be part of the reason

I had a rdm replace him self with a rng once...i dont know what the fuck he was thinking. suprising thing was pt actually got better after he left...

just thought i would randomly throw that in.

Also...

I also forgot to add that, my leader and his wife(both in the party) had to leave suddenly, have been a family emergancy, but at least he found a replacement....Also, the leader is in my LS and he wouldn't do anything to screw us over, unless it was an accident.

If the rdm subbed war, how did he warp out?

{Hmmm.} I'm surprised and disgusted at how a fellow RDM can be that STUPID! To even get to lv 10+. I myself am a 53RDM/26BLM and if a felow party member is in the low. I take the fall and cast Cure IV if needed. That just disgusts me so badly that the RDM is such a pussy he would rather risk everyone dying than to just take a loss of his own. You should be happy HE left. Saved u alot of time going to party menu and removing him lol.

This happens all the time with rdms. The party CANNOT be a good party without a refresher so people with subpar abilities/gear/subjobs are allowed to continue leaching xp and dragging the rdm name thru the mud because of this need. No one kicks rdms. No punishment for bad playing=laziness=bad playing and a bad reputation for the job.

I hope your not saying this happens with ALL Rdms silver. There are a few out there that are not lazy and do our job well. I have seen it many times where the WHM was the one who played lazy in pts I was in not using cures. There are not many things a pt needs to ask me for while I am getting xp, dispels are used granted they may be off by a sec if I am in the middle of a cure or an enfeebling spell and they start to use a guard of some sort. No one has to really ask for a refresh (granted they still do not realizing there is a time recast on it- but they are next in line when it is ready) I just don't want everyone to judge the job by a few who may do a bad job and make the rest of us look bad or just assume when you invite us another rdm just looking to leech xp.

I think she's saying people are so desperate for Refreshers they'll take anything they can get, no matter what the sub is or skill level turns out to be. I turned down a party once and later saw they'd take an RDM who'd been farming with WAR as their sub. Laters 50s or early 60s with the sub under 15. Good times, I'm sure.

Oh I know......I just dont want all of the rdms out there to be just be seen as a refresher as we do much more than that.....but unfortunately some out there think that that is all rdm does even sadly the ones who play the job :(

Which was exactly my point. All people see is that we have refresh, and the general believe is that a party absolutely HAS TO HAVE refresh in order to function. I just think the standards, in general, are lower for rdms for many reasons.

And, of course, I don't mean all rdms are lazy. I'm a rdm myself :P. It was a general statement as to a possible cause of high lvl noob rdms.
