ZOMG, as you all (well, most of you) know by now... the new armor prizes are 2 new kimono's, which dispense fireworks that are new.

I love this prize.... best part is it dispenses 99 of them, but at the cost of once a week limit of dispensing.

The moogles got scared of all us adventurers :/ but I was one of the first at the windurst moogle, had to wait for my friend to come though, and didn't know you had to /heal at first to check the compass, and went to try that for both, but gobbie aggrod and got us before we could do anything -.-
 
Yeah i got mine too and when i shot my first muteppo i was like NICE. Headed to bastok cause i wanted to get the +1 but then the matinence happened :(. Hopefully it comes back soon
 
Can anyone tell me how does this event work? How do you get the armour prize?

It's easy and hard at the same time. Basically you and your partner get zoned to one of the three main tele zones (La theine, Konschtat or Tahrongi). It might be nation specific (Sandy -> Tahr, Bastok -> La T, and Windy -> Kon) Because i lost twice in sandy but got sent to Tahrongi everytime regardless. I think thats what the fix was because the first time i went in sandy i was sent to konschtat but now its always Tahrongi. The part that makes it hard is that once you get warped to the zone you get restricted to lvl one and each zone has gobs and orcs/yags/quads so you have to watch for aggro.

Anyway so when you get to the zone you and your partner each need to find a check point. To find it you need to /heal and a msg will pop up telling YOU the direction your PARTNER needs to go. So basically you both heal and tell each other where to go. Then when you get to the check point its best you double check (stand below it and get a direction from your partner then stand above the CP and get another direction, if it changes your at the right one) and then examine it for your doll. You only get one CP check so make sure its right. Then when you both have your doll use the gate glyph item you recived from the mog to warp back. Trade your doll to your partner and have them trade you theres, then you both trade your new dolls to the mog in return for your yukata.
 
Out of curiosity, if you've already done this, can you sign up again, get teleported, get aggro, die, homepoint back, and keep the gate glyph you received?

I would assume its like other events where you have to do it in each nation. After maint. im gonna try it out. Ive seen some people with +1's but not sure how you get them.
 
Ok I got both last night the NQ and the HQ, for the HQ you have to being wearing the NQ when you talk to the moogle. You will then be able to get the HQ version, which dispenses other fireworks that turn you into this egg thing... yea. Anyways.

It sends you out to a new area, when you /heal you will get a message saying "315(any number) YALMS" Yalms are like paces. You have to make it reach 0 yalms. When it reaches 0 you are basically ON top of the point your partner needs to check. Becareful with this, especially if you go to La Theine for this because there are like 2-3 in the same places. So you HAVE to make sure it hits 0.

To break it down easier.

Zone in, /heal. See what the number is. Run somewhere /heal again. Make sure the number keeps going DOWN. You can't tell which direction to go except by the number going down. Once you find check points, do NOT check them unless your partner gets a 0 Yalms message at it, because in some spots there are more than 1 real close to eachother. ***Edit***When I did this me and my partner met up at one spot and went together for both instead of just telling eachother which way to go. This was easier for us in the long run.

***Edit*** Yes if you die and hp you can use the glyph still to get back to where you started the quest at. My partner died last night as I got the doll and had to hp. He had no exp loss.

K i just did the the plus one version and its not really any harder just take longer. Also IMO the datechochins suck, muteppo is way cooler so other than having +1 the NQ is better.
 
I got my NQ version last night. When we tried for the HQ we failed a few times as I seemed to get aggro when I found the doll, not before. The same happened to my partner when I found the doll on our 2nd try for the HQ. Don't know why. Will just have to be more careful I guess.
 
I tried last night. We were doing fine, found the spots and we almost reached them when... my partner disconnected...:shok:

I could not be asked to restart so I quit. I might try again tonight.

Galadrios, if you want to, I will do it with you and we can try for the HQ aswell if you want ? You are from the UK too so I should be on at the same sort of times as you.

No worries. I should be on before that so just send me a /tell when you get on. My character name is Daipac. I am from San D'Oria so I will be loitering around there as I want to start levelling my SMN and BRD.
