The rest of the bands...
Tool tore the house down, it was amazing. John Butler Trio put on an Excellent show. Hot chip sucked. Ziggy Marley sucked. Keller Williams was fucking awesome. Xavier Rudd was awesome. New Orleans Klesmer All Stars were good. Lily Allen was DRUNK, like she stopped her show after 4 songs to smoke a ciggarette drunk, then resumed. Widespread Panic was awesome.
Then there was the Flaming Lips. This show was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. I almost cried. Nevermind the fact that I was on strong acid, this show was fucking EPIC. They came on stage via spaceship that the lead singer wayne built in his front yard. They gave 500 laser pointers to the crowd. It was thier Drummers birthday, so we all sang happy birthday to him about halfway through. Then these guys dressed like imps or somethin started walking these 10 ft tall stick figure puppets made out of glow sticks through the crowd. at one point in time, everyone was told to point there laser pointers at the lead singer and he picked up a mirror. The stage was simply crawling with those laser beams through the whole show. They did 3 Encores. Then they left in their spaceship. It's the best show I have ever seen in my life.
The tool show was a close 2nd.
I saw a bit of Sasha and Digweed after the lips, and who did I see wondering around in the crowd?
Towlie. And yes, he wanted to get high.
Oh yeah, I didn't even bother going to the police. Fuck the Police. They were supposed to play for 2 1/2 hours, but the crowd wasn't into it and they left after 1 hour.
Then there was the comedy tent. Dave Attell was disgustingly hilarious. He told a joke that started out "I think pedophiles have a bad rap.." and it made me laugh when he got to the end of it. It was some of the raunchiest shit I've ever heard come out of anyone's mouth.
David Cross was funny as hell too. He did a skit with Aziz ansari and nick Krull afterward called "You might be a deadneck", talkin bout redneck hippies.
I can't wait till next year. Bonnaroo 08 ftw.
