The message you get when you go looking for one of those posts through the rate-up page is different than the one you get when you go looking for a post that has been totally deleted. It's a "you don't have permission to view this thread" rather than simply not being able to view it at all, "Thread: N/A".

Misi left on her own accord as administrator, because frankly, she had no desire to run the site to begin with - she was a designer for the UI *only*. Miros kinda fucked us when he bailed, because he bailed without leaving any kind of support structure in his wake.

Hey, I left Misi with all the same powers I had. Gosh why am I always the bad guy. And let's be kinda honest, aside from this unearthing of the Classic Threads forum there's nothing that the minority admin needed to do. Most of the errors that happened on here were server based or requests for additional functions that would have to be put in by Reeve...and almost forgot that issue I heard about with certain threads that seem to have just disappeared for some reason.

You know, if you wanted to you could have always e-mailed Reeve and asked for Admin powers to fix things up. I did say that if there was anything you needed to let me know. It's not like my contact info wasn't in the staff area, so "bailed" wasn't exactly the best term.

It's not just FB threads, it's old RSI/GD stuff too.

I'm pretty sure the bonecrafting thread is buried deep in that section too. Since Misi is still red, she does have the power to quickly swoop in and move that board/allow access to other members now too. In fact, if I can remember correctly don't moderators have the ability move threads? I can't remember fully but I did think that was one of the abilities that they had. If that's true, you could move the threads yourself from the Classic Thread subsection to the flameboard for viewing pleasure.

I disagree Miros. You left rather abruptly without warning. You basically abandoned QCDN, you had your reasons and for that I respect your logic.... Albeit from what was told to me it was a RL issue (I really hope it is resolved and you are better), you did leave without notice to the general public. You also deleted threads that shouldn't have been deleted, I feel that if a person deletes a thread as a moderator/admin, they should do their job as a whole... instead of deleting things that are about them because "the truth hurts." It was really funny because you deleted the thread, and that was the only activity you had on the boards... for like 2-3 months. I miss admins like Arctyrael, Audino, and some others... I really do. Tristam this isn't to say you aren't doing a great job btw... I think you are doing a terrific job in the amount of actual capacity you were left with.

There's no disagreement there, but I was addressing Tristam not you/the users of QCDN. The admin "Miros" to the users of QCDN were gone that day. I really didn't have many users on any other aspect of my online life either, such as messengers, facebook, twitter, etc. That's a different scenario for the modmins though. Misi had my e-mail and is on my facebook (still is, think she's a great person) and at the time I left I also had Tristam on facebook (since then he's taken me off his friends list) and even on the Ps3 friends list. If there was anything that they needed help on that wasn't something that would have ordinarily been out of the reach (such as server issues and other complicated issues that Reeve would have to handle himself) I was just a few clicks away.

Thanks for the well wishes! It was an RL issue but it wasn't like an emo RL issue. In that 2-3 month span that you mention below this, I had finished up a master's program, started a new career, was sent to training for 9 weeks and finally moved down south to the lovely state of MD. My ambitions and desires in life were changing and QCDN really wasn't fitting in the new equation. As always in the beginning of a new job there is added stress of trying to keep that job and that certainly played a part in my crazy attitude. So the one night I log in an overly stressed/possibly upset attitude and I did things that I shouldn't have done. I really did become that Nazi that people love to use on this site. So while it was an abrupt leave, in my mind it was the best thing. Had I stayed around and acted the way I did the site would probably be in worst shape than it is now. When I left, I left with Misi having all the same abilities that I had and what I believe was a very capable team and that team also did have ways to reach me for any help that they needed.

Hell yeah, this just reinforces what I said above. I fucked up majorly. I'm okay owning the mistakes that I made during that period (hell and ones prior to that like moving to eosun and basically neglecting the main reason that QCDN existed which was the community). The last thing the community needed was an admin who only showed up every 2-3 months and fucked something up don't you agree?

Arc was awesome and a great friend. I need to get back in touch with him. He's a total stud. Dino did, and always will make my pants tighter.
