Back to leveling Ninja - lv 52

Last question. Do you play sports and if you do, do you practice until you are the best so that you can win or do you play for fun?

I have to ask though Lavi, other than your personal desire to continuously be irate, what does it matter? Do you see people here continuously challenging your work or sports ethics? Let people formulate their own opinions, they keep it to themselves. You apparently cannot.

Giving out tips on how to make gil is just asking for someone to step on your toes and take over what you do. Honestly, just browse ffxiah.com and look for things that sell "Very Fast" and see which of them you can easily get. Here's a free suggestion you can try since I don't do it anymore, harvest in Bhaflau Thickets. You can haul in gil very quickly and very easily just selling the stacks of red moko grass, mohbwa grass, fresh mugwort, and pephredo bee chips and tossing everything else.

I don't see you saying that to Jamal since he responded as often and often with less kinder words than myself, but that would be because you agree with him. So I guess anyone of dissenting opinion should just not be allowed to post, right? God, I am getting sick of this same routine from you. "Keep your opinion to yourself", but it doesn't seem to shut you up from posting yours. Maybe you should if that's all you plan on responding with.

At any rate, I am not challenging his work or sport ethics directly, but trying to get him to say something which would get him to understand other's view points albeit indirectly. With my last question, I am trying to get him to say he doesn't play sports with the same intensity he does this game. In that case, isn't it kind of ironic that he can pass judgement that people try hard for a video game and not a competitive sport? But I'm sure he'll just think of something as always.

Edit: To reiterate, I was the first person to mention a PCC in this thread. I said it was the best piece for NIN for many reasons and well worth the effort to obtain; however, not everyone has the time or luck in getting one. I wouldn't ask a new player to get one, but I would expect it to be a decent goal for most if not all melee to achieve while they level up. If at 75 you don't have, spend your time working towards getting it along with the rest of your perfect gear setup. I am not arguing anyone should not get it, but that you shouldn't call someone gimp and expect everyone should have it.

Harvesting, Mining, Logging, and Chocobo Digging are 4 things I havent yet tried

No my problem is how he's passing judgement on people he doesn't know. I played this game from the start, and went to grad school, gave all my stuff away because I thought I wasn't coming back. Came back at the height of inflation with nothing but a Genin Earring, which I sold for crafting materials and crafted and gardened up enough gil to well equip my Ninja, and Rng to 75 after that. So to say oh you took the easy route, and he doesn't know me at all is absolute nonsense. Just like I don't play basketball the way I used to, doesn't mean I half-assed when I was player either, which apparently is the way he sees it.

Edit: And all over One and only One piece of gear that was 20-30 mill at the time, and I'm sorry cause I usually don't get mad, but this just pissed me off.

But...but....but....but....but...he did it toooooo!!

Seriously Lavi, take your blinders off. That's not what the message I was giving to you. I did not see him questioning your habits in the working world. He made a statement that I neither agree or disagree with. I do understand your point, but the real question is... what if he does take sports as seriously as he does with with work or video games?

You should realize I'm no more attempting to start another off-key argument than any other, I'm legitimately stating that it really is pointless to go full speed ahead with tunnel vision in regards to someone's personal ambitions in this regard.

On a side note, I somehow managed to type this without using the busted letter on this keyboard. Time to set the new one I bought today up.

Edit: Hurray, new keyboard installed. I can now officially make fun of Cmdrfly again.

When I was crunched down with school work, you know what I did? I Gardened. Barely have to even log on.

Once a day for a few minutes to check plants on the correct day.

Made millions effortlessly. effortlessly
God I loved gardening.

yeah I tried gardening, I never actually got the hang of when to plan what inside which pots and with what crystals on which day, etc. etc. Few times I came up with ores, but I couldnt get a complete grasp on it due to not being able to use the 'trial and error' method effectively, because it takes so long to grow anything. I actually had a mule set up with several pots in his MH to do this, and used him for nothing bur gardening

Its not an excuse...and you're misreading me...again.
The succesful in life have reading comprehension skills, and don't focus on one sentence in a paragraph. I never said considering my play time and job, no i can't get better than i am now"
I said:
"And...considering my age and my field, no, I really couldn't be much further than I am now"
Can't believe I have to spell out what this means. I'm barely 27 years old, and doing projects for CFO's of multimillion dollar companies, and I've only been in the industry just over a year...
I COULDN'T be any higher up than I am at this stage of my career in the industry. No one goes from Consultant to CFO in a day, it takes time, hard work, and diligence to the companies WHILE YOU'RE CONSIDERED CHARGEABLE. Getting myself 80% chargeable for all hours I am working in less than a year is by no means the mentality you speak of.

If you have a personal problem with me, get the fuck over it. For the third time, stop trying to take one line of what I say and misreading it, because frankly, this is fucking pathetic what you're trying to accomplish.

No beef with ya but, if you read the first post by Ruffy, he was asking advice on whether Ninja tools would be useful at his lvl, what food to use and what he can do with 200k.

I'm sure if someone was asking, How do i equip my NINJA to max potential with 5m to spare etc.. Your advice on PCC etc etc would have worked, i knew what you are trying to say Jamal but it's right advice at the wrong post ^^b

It was the right advise, dont level NIN with 200k unless you have everything your NIN needs.

lol i do agree 200k won't last long for NIN but hey, he was asking if tools are useful and foods to use etc. He didn't ask if it's enough money to lvl his Nin..
Now that gear is out of the way, should I seriously bother with using elemental tools?

Also, what would be good food to take with me?

Oh well... *shrugs* , please continue with the disccusion. ^^b

Did that not link to it? Browser should automatically focus to the post because of the post number 720197

I'll avoid what you said there based on the fact you wont like what I have to say, and tell you this instead. Regardless of what you think about PCC, it is probably time to start thinking about it.

You obviously waited to hit 75 before getting good gear, but w/e. Building a good haste set up is good for all your jobs, so wala turban, dusk gloves, maybe feet will be benificial. Getting swift belt also.

You'll want to have a foragers mantle, amemet is nice, but at 1.5m for foragers, it's totally worth it.

If you're doing NIN now, you'll probably want to put PCC atop this list since your NIN wont be able to wear the other gear, and all 3 jobs will benefit.

You probably dont want to use woodsmans at your level, evasion still plays a role in xp, and getting hasted at that level is a problem due to lack of talent or whm/rdm.

At this point in time, no other piece will impact all the jobs you are currently leveling like PCC, and it would seem like a good place to start.

Kote you probably wont really notice until physical DMG becomes your main hate holding ability. That will be the case after 60 when you get NIN, but there will be some parties prior where you can take advantage of fast attack speed.

Instead of level whoring jobs, its a good idea to relax and pick up the items that will make playing your job that much more enjoyable.

Quote the whole post.

If he didn't want any suggestions about gear at all he wouldn't have listed his current gear setup. Also, he wouldn't have asked questions about the ra/ex kyahan and kote if he only wanted to know about food and ninjutsu tools.

If you are going to put your gear out there for everyone to see <especially on a "questionerre" type of post> then you had better be ready to get the feedback on your gear wether it be positive or negative. Ruffy has received some solid advice, but he is arguing against it, and he needs to get his priorities straightened out.

He says he has no time to farm. Lie, He has time to camp and level he has time to farm, he just doesn't want to put forth the effort to do so.

He says PCC is just a luxery. Opinion, at the low price it is, only 2M it should be very very much attainable for any player of any calibur, hell there was a thread not too long ago about a guy who only had a few hours per week toplay who was stationed in Iraq yet he had time to come up with 1M and a byakko pop set. If he can manage all this in those short hours then I'm sure ruffy can manage a measely 2M. As I said earlier, he doesn't want to put forth the effort for it.

All the "vet" ninjas are giving him advice that he refuses to take, yet he takes advice from all of the "new" ninjas just because they say what he wants to hear, take the easy way out. He came here looking for someone else to agree with him about his ways of doing things, and he found it with a few "new" nins and one "vet" nin.

Jamal, Meeze, and myself may seem like we are coming off like dicks, but we are only giving him the information to optimize his xp/hr potential, and also his amount of invites given while seeking/not seeking. We are telling him the best way to level up, and it's a hell of a lot more fun.

I lost everything when I was Lv. 60 ninja. All my gear sellable and ra/ex alike. I tried to "rough it out" like people are telling ruffy to do, but it's just not near as fun as when you have all your optimal gear for DD, TP, Evasion, Emnity all set up to peform your job to perfection. I "roughed" it for one PT then after that I stopped, completely stopped and was farming, KSing, BSing <all of which I had to reattain because mine where dropped.> And in a little under a year I have almost completed my ninja, including working on my 3rd stage of relic. I know what it's like having no money and wanting to level ninja really badly, but I also know what it's like to earn your gear and to "wow" people with the efficiency that you use all of your different gear sets to perform your job to perfection.

As I said before, I may be a dick for expecting people to want the most out of their playtime and telling them what to do to get that, but then again, call me a dick I don't really care because while he's "roughing" it out I'm sitting at 75 enjoying my gear I busted my ass to get.

I hear that shit. Rolling level 60 Ninja with +40 Acc, +50 Attack Power and +9% haste was a lawl. I could look away, eat a sandwich, still have hate and still have shadows up.

Im not ignoring anyone at all, I never did in any thread. This ENTIRE argument is based on a difference of opinion. That opinion is that I believe PCC is a luxury and not a necessity. Does this stop me from wanting to get it? No, not at all. Am I trying? Yes, read my posts. I am trying to get this gear, but because MY methods dont satisfy you 'vet' ninjas, you get your panties in a wad.

Not once have I touched my NIN again, because Im busy trying to get gear for it. I dont see how this qualifies as a good example of me ignoring suggestions, which I am taking. So I dont farm, do you have a problem with me camping okote and kyahan, and BCNMing for PCC? Apparently so.
