Over the past couple of days my husband and i have been having trouble with our kitchen sink , we rented our house about 2 months ago. The first time this happened our landlord fixed it so after a long hard day of shopping with my mother in law we came back to our house and i seen our landlord so i metioned to him that the sink was messed up he replied with " well i showed you how do it last time so get Joel to do it " i was like omg first time he has refused to do something like that ..... well my husband is on a turn around at the plants so he is working 12's (12hours a day) and when he comes home all he wants to do is shower, eat, play the game and smoke . So he basically has no time to fix this , so i was cleaning the house this morning and got tired of seeing my sink like it was , So me being a Independent Wife I fixed it myself it works good as new and i was so excited because i am not a plumber and i dont know anything about plumbing. But basically the point of the thread is to all the housewives out there dont think they cant do something till they have atleast tried. XD ........ My mother is basically the one who taught me to be miss independent and i called her and thanked her for it this morning and she was like " see baby i told you we dont need men to do things for us we can do it ourselves " and right now that is so true no offense to my husband but
" Women Rock " :D

Seeing things like this always make me smile.

Way to go! :)

I don't know where you live or the laws there, but in MA you could deduct from your rent the cost of parts/labor from your rent if the landlord refuses to repair stuff in your appartment. Good job anyways!

we live in tx , deducting from rent im not really concerned about i just wanted my sink fixed and i did it lol ..... my husband came home and was like nuh huh you didnt do that i was like uh huh and showed him things i messed with and he treated me to dinner and some new years drinks XD

/cheer!! Good job! It always feels so great to acomplish something that you've never dealt with before. My wife has the same independent streak about her. >.o
