Last night was the saddest night in game that I have ever had
It is so funny, because I always thought of myself as an occassional player. I am on the forums WAY more than in the game. I only ever really play for a couple hours at a time, when I have the time - because I am usually doing shows/rehearsals/hanging out with my overly needy friends or BF (lol)

and whatnot.
I never expected an in game experience to make me feel choked up.
Daroth and I met about a week after I got this game. I had only been a "gamer" for a few years (my BF loved games so much, that I decided to see what was up, and got hooked - evil bastard) and had never experienced an Online game. As an actor, I LOVED RPG's - but was sketchy about being a girl, and playing with real people and all. Anyway - I loved the FF series so much, that I bought this for Josh almost immediately after the PS2 release....and we both got hooked.
ANYWAY I was about a week into it - doing random quests, missions - being too shy to talk to people, for the first time in my life...I had tried and failed that "pour water on King Ranp's Tomb" twice and was about to give it another go - and collect whatever the hell it was those damned bats drop for the 1.2 mission. I was lost and at Knightwell - and saw Daroth standing alone, and asked (politely) if he could point me in the right direction. He said "sure - follow me" and escorted me there - killing all the bats along the way - getting me the items (I think he had to kill like 27 consecutively - poor guy) sitting around the tomb with me to show me the spook...just chatting and having a good time.
He was the first person on my friend list, the first person to give me a link pearl, he took me on quests, showed me how to lvl - taught me the game.

Then, a few monthes later, asked me to marry him - which I happily accepted. He was always my bud, my favorite person to play with - the first person to make the game fun for me...I cannot even begin to describe how sad last night was.
I have always been one of those "it's just a game" people. I am often doing RL stuff instead of playing, etc. But last night I realized that the reason that it is NOT just a game, is because real people are involved. Daroth was a true friend in the game, and became a real friend in life.
Thank you, Dar for everything. *I know I will see you again soon. <3
<hugs> <kisses> <complete admiration> JENDER
