BAD PARTY Can somebody help me ^^

Ok so i was in Qufim leveling WHM, which side note is hard cuz there is like nobody my level, and I was asked to join a party, great I thought, well I was wrong, it went ok for a little while, we had a party that was WHM, SAM, SAM, NIN, MNK, I dont remember the last member, but later was a RDM. So anyway, we were around the lake killing Crabs and Worms, fine and dandy, well we decide to move to the tower, now our leader say lets go in and fight, at this time the RDM has replace the NIN, who by the way had like no gear, I was wondering why I had to use Cure 3 on him constantly, I mean people if your going to party at least have the bare essentials, thank you. Ok moving forward, so we going into the tower and get attacked by giant, ok no problem, should be able to take it.....NOPE...... not only did party members not voke but they couldn't keep hate, so when I healed I got slaughtered by Giant.....ok.....it happens, so I run from Jeuno back to the tower, meet up with the group and say...."Lets not do that again" so our fearless leader goes and pulls another, giant, great, but ok no problem, so we start beating it, which is good, haven't need to heal much, Giant gets criticial hit on one member, Cast Cure 2, draw hate, WTF....... So im running around screaming for a voke, they cant voke off of me.... So im one more slap to the back of the head away from death....again.....so I zone and disband, not to be a bad person but just becasue I was fed up, I mean should I really have to go through this, almost all of my party experience have been good but this was just down right awful....

Can someone help me level in Qufim who knows what they are doing, I just had to write about this, I just thought it was kinda funny and kinda sad at the same time...
 
After this NM i am hunting pops i will come PL you on my pld. i need to cap my healing skill again -_-
 
Qufim apparently hasn't been the most lively place to lvl, a friend of mine has been having some really bad experience parties there too.

And as bad as a party can get, my opinion is that the better action is to at least try and find a replacement... unless i'm disrespected, I don't just disband because of a bad experience. People still learn, and need to be given a bit of help at times... you'd be surprised to know how many people don't know how to tank at those levels, and if you take a minute or two to give them a few pointers you'd see that your experience party would be a lot better.
 
I have a RNG 23 that needs some lvling, wht lv are you anyway?
 
Haha yeah telling my level might help, Um well ive got a couple stuck in Qufim level 22 WHM 23 WAR and 20 BLM.....any help would be awesome, i need to get to 30 so can get other jobs.....or just to get out of Qufim...
 
What I don't understand is why did your leader allow a mostly naked NIN tank for a party....
 
Stupiditty or however you spell it, i was like have the mnk tank... thats another thing, we really didnt have/couldnt find good tank...

Yeah, I noticed this too. I just took a static through Qufim and that place has been DEAD! We even had a hard time in the past couple parties finding a 2nd voker to help the NIN. Where's everyone XPing nowadays at that level?

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience out there. While I don't have a job that's in Qufim leveling range at the moment, I'll be leveling my long-neglected 25 Warrior tonight and at various and sundry times over the weekend and would gladly party with you once you reach Kazham.

Also, it sounds like you may have had a tank that thought he only needed to voke when it finally started to glance someone else's way - bad, bad, bad idea.

On a side note, please take this as a bit of advice on how to handle things in a situation where you're getting hate as a Whm:

I used to run screaming for the hills myself through the earlier levels until this one simple fact was driven home to me - if voke doesn't turn it, the tank needs to hit it, cast on it, or otherwise damage it to pull it off you. If they're having to chase it down as it chases you, they're not doing any melee damage to it, and, thus you find yourself at the mercy of the mob to finally inflict enough damage on you(or kill you) before it turns again to the tank.

More often than not, now I run towards the melee if I've managed to draw something's attention.
 
The only time i had problems with Qufim was when lvling blm there. When lvling whm i was new so it didn't seem so bad and when i lvled smn i had a pt go from dunes thru Qufim in one party (which kicked ass)
 
hmm i got lucky last time i went through qufim i guess lol. Like a month ago i took brd through qufim in like 2 pts.

I had a bad party experience on qufim recently myself. I was a 20 War at the time we had 2 other Wars in the party I voke I watch my HP diminish next I know I'm in the read so I sad "Voke Please" nothing "VOKE PLEASE!!" still nothing wack and I'm dead and all the other 2 wars said was sorry man I thought you were gonna get cured... First of all the WHM was out of MP and the rdm I don't know what the hell she was doing...
 
Haha..... see some people just have no idea what they are doing.... i mean we have all been there but by lvl 20 you should have a good grip and a lot of your lessens should have been taught to you one way or another in Valkurm Dunes...... unless you bought character.....
 
lol buying a level 20 character... yeah i have seen people at level 60ish that still dont know how to pt! usually they are red mages for some reason, probably because they get invited so often after 41 and just fly though levels.
 
I have been leveling jobs through 15-25 by avoiding the dunes and qufim as much as possible. Worms are amazing for getting fast xp in large qunatities, but it does cost a lot in arrows (and sometimes healing/mp potions/food) and there are more than a few risks (keep you ls on for raises). But when I was leveling dark knight, I was able to chain 4 different worms getting an average of 100 xp each in only a few minutes. For other jobs, I went through Qufim island with a blm friend and me as a Ranger and were able to kill several worms in a row with similar results at lv20. Overall, I was always able to go with only a few xp parties, so I was able to be as choosy as I wanted to be.
 
Is there a good place to solo around level 20-25? Not that I want to but if there are no parites I just dont feel like sitting around....
 
yeah valkurm dunes... you probably dont want to go there though
 
You can dual with a RNG on worms, i took my rng 13-19 on the maze, and 19-23 on worms in Quifim, im not sure if soloing as a WHM is a good idea at those lvs thou.

Have hope thou, pts like that are not a usual thing...or may they are oO, but you will get to 30 soon enough. I know that for my first job War, 1-30 was extremely slow since i was tank most of the time. I got used to dying pretty fast, althou because i did the mages where usually saved.

Also making your own pts may speed up your lvling a bit.

GL, and may be we can get you those 3 lvs so you can head to kazham this weekend.:biggrin:
