Ballista League?

Kolid brought this up a while back (someone possibly before him);
What is the sentiment on a Ballista League?

I don't know the first thing about Ballista, is it practical to have a league in the strictest sense? Would there be play-offs and all?

How would it work? What are potential pitfalls?
Is anyone even interested in participating, or are people just too busy to take the time to seriously set it up and maintain it?
 
I would think it would be fun if it was uncapped. I hate capped ballista's and have only ever participated in one because I simply don't want to buy the best gear possible for a capped event.

well i love lvl 60 cap ... i use use my AF and cheap gear and stll win alot of them

I think it is a good idea.

People can attent ballista without participating, these can be reps (if you plan to have it as a forum based thing) for the forum to bring back the resaults.

It would also breathe some life back into the boards.

If you make a Ballista forum, don't impose the profanity regulations on it. ;)
 
I think we are about to ease up on the whole profanity thing somewhat. Profanity as such has never been the issue really, just how it was applied.

Anyway, as far as a league goes, I have no clue on how to logistically set this up. I can certainly make a Ballista League forum, or even a category (much like Final Fantasy Offline with it's own sub forums), but there has to be some sort of plan on how this will run.

Meaning how to set up the teams that compete, the rules under which they compete, how the results will be counted, stuff like that.

biggest problem is they unequip ls durring ballista.

I love 50 and 60 capped, uncapped my drg is just to squishy and blm is just sorta boring.
 
What about brenner as well? also is it possible to have little custom rules added for fun and variety like no subs day ect.

60 cap doesn't count! I hate capped, can't use all of my spells and weapons! :P Besides, I was pretty much naked, lol XD

Either way, I'd love a Ballista league, Ballista rocks \(^.^)/
 
A fun way to run a league I think, with special prizes is to offer a set amount of gil needed to enter the league. For example, per team it would be like 50k or something like that. That gil is collected by the person or persons running the games. At the end of the ballista tornaments or rounds the winning team wins the collective pot being held by the refs! :3
