Ballista weird combinations

I did Ballista Yesterday after a JP asked me to sub nin on my blm and we can do a 1 vs 1. on 60 cap ballista

So I did..... I am taru 64blm/34nin and he's Elvaan 75blm/25nin

so when the Ballista Started everyone made a circle (weird that jp would do this) and me and the other went at it.

I had two wands MP drain wand+7INT 59 blm and another INT+7 wand and he had two daggers (Spark) with Mega battery.

I had 2 Snipers and life belt he had DEX+ anyway, we were hitting eachother for about 10-20 a hit, and we were nuking each other with nin spells.

Anyway I won in the end by Draining his last HP and everybody cheered me on ^^

anyway I was wondering if anyone would like to try out a weird combo like mine and we could go duke it out one day. give me a /tell
 
I am ALWAYS up for 1 v 1 battles in ballista ^^

And in ballista, weird job combos seem to work out pretty well.
 
Wierdest thing when you're being chased by a SAM, RDM, RNG, PLD...

And then all 4 of them Slug Shot you simultaneously o_O

I frickin hate ballista XD

LMAO!

I did Ballista fights for the first time last week-end. Very fun! Went as DRK/WAR, nothing unusual. Other team at a PLD/NIN taru, double-poking little bastard! lol

I got killed twice by a SAM as well, SC on my sore butt by himself! Urg, that hurts.

Think I'll try DRK/NIN next time, I heard it's pretty devastating in Ballista, just need to experience how. DRK/SAM might be good to.

One thing I learned the hard way, use the poison potions you find or you'll be sleeping throught the whole match! grrrr

Smn suck a lot in them. I don't think rdm or sam can slug shot, lol. Don't know of any crossbows either of them can use.

Anyways ballista is fun ^^
 
me and dua have had some good fights.

and yeah, wacky combos work well

???/brd sleep lands just as well as main bard sleep... ive been slept by whm/brd pld/brd and nin/brd ><
 
I'll fight you some time if you want, I know I'd lose though..

In Ballista all most every job combo has its advantages.Try Monk/DRG with Brownbelt low delay weapons and Wyvern Earring and just swing away. maybe evensome Hastefrom a mage ~.~

Poison Potion.

I remember some Blm trying that on me while I had Poison on...Sidewinder (|You can have this.|)
 
Yea Svina was telling me about the Sidewinder fad. Funny how people find using extremely cheap methods to kill fun.

I was never aware that people did arrange 1 vs 1 Ballista during the match. Now that sounds REALLY fun. I'd love to get into one of those.

I dont consider using a WS cheap to kill somebody

However I think Sidewinder should have been a Ranger-Only WS (Same with Slug Shot)

the only time a normal melee can actually hit Sidewinder/Slugshot with consistancy is on lower level mobs, and I guess Ballista though
 
Is there a MIN cap for a ballista?

If not, I would take off my SJ and just go as a level 1 thf. You know. For shits.

actually not too long back a lot of people orginized an all lvl 1 ballista event

Svina's just mad I popped like 4 Slugshots in him the other day :lol: . There is this one Sam/Rng though, Goes in Sidewinders, sprints away, and if you try to 1v1, He/She'll just use a Revitalizer (Using an Item in 1v1 isn't allowed) Meditate, Meiko whatever and Sidewinder you to hell. Since it's somewhat of an Even Match fight, The Sidewinder will connect. That's what makes Ballista interesting. It's not like your in an Exp PT, 'cause a Sidewinder will sure as hell not land on an IT++ from a Samurai.
 
Shadowbind sucks -_- I hate it.. it's too fast and cheap..it must have a 20 minute cooldown!!!!!

So did you have as much fun killing me as I had sleeping you and waving goodbye? Hehe.

I love Ballista.
