Ok, this is the flame board but I'm giving out my thanks to a few special people.
First of all, I want to thank all melee, and give them a very warm congrats for working so hard and finally getting what they want: Ballista: Melee Mayham (No Mages Allowed). I'd like to invite you to the "special" dinner after this event, so we can rejoice together now that you can laugh at any mage who makes the feeble attempt of doing something other then letting the other team have an easy score.
I'm sure you are aware of how at the start, Ballista was run and owned by mages. This was unfair. S-E's reply, make the game run and owned by melee. Good job, a lot fairer. Slowly, patch by patch, mages got screwed and I find this 100% right and fair. This final patch is the cap, if you don't know now all spells casted by a mage (ALL GOD DAMN SPELLS, LIKE FIRE ect) will get a resistence built against them, doing less damage over time. And the effect is strong as hell, it drastically cuts damage or resistence cutting the more it's cast. I cried my last Ballista game, as I could not keep a damn whm silenced when before I cast it once and that was the end of it. So, congrats to all you melee. Us mages love you the morer, because now you have to protect our asses even more like good melee... Oh wait, I forgot, setting aside the fact that you CAN'T protect the god damn mages in ANY way, you melee don't give a shit. Oh well. Congrats anyways.
I'd also like to say to all mages who hold on to the feeble attempt of trying to "own".. Please, the next person to say "I pwn anyone as whm/brd"... grab a jar of goblin grease and a stack of panama, and please wait for me in my private rooms. Whm and smn sucks the most, to say the least, and the rest of us got screwed over. Yes, rdm still own the feild one vs one, but it's never one vs one unless you call it out. (Usually only a friend won't jump you with 5 guys anyways) Anyways, just put your heads down in submission mages like I have, and give up. Our spells are gimped now, gimper then limp in the groins. I'm tired of people arguing this with me, and then see that same people in ballista... watching as ALL the melee on the enemy's team blissfully ingores our melee and rushes the mage, kills him and runs off to score. Of course that is the smart thing to do. Why would you fight a tough, high hp and def melee who can fight back? And of course give the mages and other teamates time to help? No no no, you go right for the mages, an easy clean kill. Don't have to worry about sleep anymore, or pretty much anything from a mage now.
We've become the "hot points" of the game. Soon we'll see the melee complaning "Damn we lost this one, we have 5 hot points and they only have 1" <Sanjo> "Dude, I'm only right next to you" "Shut up you stupid hotpoint, now when the game starts I want you to run far far away, cast sneak and blink and invisi and all that, and STAY THERE until the game ends,ok? That is the greatest thing you can do for your team. NOW FLY!"
But, don't let my little upset self ruin such a great age for you melee.
Anyways, time for the big event. I want to give the greatest and best thanks of all, to those lovable freaks, the nuke using Ghosts(starcraft reference) of FFXI, the Godz, the beloved kings of Ballista, the fucking Rangers. The most gimped needed class which has recieved the most from mages being gimped. Truthly, melee vs melee is all about who can dish out the most damage fastes, and not miss. The problem is, a WS and maybe a barrage will bring ANYONE down to their knees. Melee or mage. Ok, they do pay for their ammo I guess it evens out. (or would if fucking people didn't buy gil or frikin rich ass jpn didn't have to cheat or anything. When you have ass-theives being rangers, when money ISN"T the limiter it is supposed to be, you have a frikin problem sir.) But of course they get drain arrows, which annoy the hell out off me, and of course the well known sleep arrows and sleep bolts. GOD DO I HATE THOSE. Yes, our mage sleep has been gimped to hell, but I will rejoice along with Rng that their arrows/bolts/bullets are as effective as always. Got to love you can actually damage with them too. Wish my sleep did that. Wish it gave me tp too. Oh well. Anyways, congrats rangers. Friking good lordy congrats. And don't forget to thank S-E. Really though, they could of least heavily gimped ranger sleep and the rate of which special arrows activate. Or decrease their ranged accu in ballista. Gimp sam subf for them or gimp their tp gainage. DO SOMETHING. Because let me tell you, that facking arrow missing item is GAY. Maybe it will let me run away like a little school girl and not get sleeped by a frikikin sleep dart in the back for the 3 seconds it protects me from ranged attacks. Oh, and now we have Samurai/ranger goding things up too,as if rangers alone are not bad enough.
Anyways, glad to say I will be going to ballista a lot less. Oh well, I was used to sucking supreme as smn.. was hoping to garner some respect as the powerful rdm, but I guess that dream was shattered too.. until my dream comes true at least... the better part of that dream being excaliber + kraken club and ninja sub... Anyways, anyone who says "oh, this has already been said alread so FU" Please not I was holding on to a thin thread of life for the past week or so, and if you want to discuss it, you can strip down naked and join the others in my private room. Thank you, and please enjoy the dinner. No, it's not poisoned or laced with goblin feces and the yellow fluid IS lemon juice. Have a nice day.
