Well, if you're going to throw out infringements for him talking about Salvage, you should also throw out infringements for the countless of times people have insulted him outside of the flameboard

Most of his posts are flamebaits in themselves. Your way is short sighted and honestly pretty stupid, just because he's your friend. You want to ignore the problem and focus on the effects, you won't stop people from flaming him outside of the flameboard, you'll only be empowering an idiot who's flamebaiting all over the place and derailing threads. Banning him would both solve the real problem and remove it's effects, since people wouldn't be flaming him if he wasn't on the board to post.

Can't just enforce the rules when unpopular people break them. If Pchan is breaking the rules, give out infractions. If everyone else is breaking the rules, give out infractions. Don't just do one of the two. It wouldn't be right. Pchan is just the unpopular person of the month. There's always one, and the community uses the same argument to bash them all. Flaming outside the flameboard is against the rules, and flamebaiting is against the rules. With any luck, a ton of infractions will be divvied out, or no infractions will be divvied out. The staff gets too much flack for favoritism to pick and choose who of the equally guilty they feel like punishing. Pchan is unpopular and guilty. The others are popular and guilty. Being unpopular isn't an offense in itself, so punish them all equally.

The problem with flamebaiting is it's just that. You don't go fishing to bitch and moan when you catch a fish with bait.

People post against his flamebait to make sure the wrong info isn't given out. Read that Mnk thread. Mnk pulls with pebbles, really? The same can be said about Hellstorm. It's that the post itself is so bad and full of horrible info that it counts as flamebait.

Salvage isn't the end all be all of endgame and Mnk shouldn't be pulling with Pebbles. I don't think we want new players taking that advice seriously. The point of the thread was asking for help in Endgame. He didn't say Salvage or sky or Sea or w/e.

Other people would be just as pissed if it was Pere in that thread going on about Dynamis Mnk. People bitching at him isn't because he's unpopular. It's because he's giving out god awful advice for new players.

Really, what's the point with the rep system if you're going to ban people that get 3+ red dots anyway? To show how many dots you have? Might as well remove it if it holds no purpose when everyone need to have green dots to not be banned.

If Rappa went on about how Salvage is the penultimate endgame, or if Jamal went on about how Pup is godlike, or if Audino told new and up coming Mnks to pull with Pebbles, or if Trist went on about how Rdm is a super melee that can out Parse most well geared Wars they'd still be called idiots and we'd be using their names instead of Pchan's.

It doesn't matter about popularity. You say something retarded and continue to beat your retarded point till it's a dead horse then you're just pissing people off. People wanted Pere banned because every mention of Dynamis brought him in and people got sick of it.(I personally never really had issues with Pere but to each their own)

Also, if i remember right, Pere was banned for flamebaiting while going on about Dynamis. This is the same, except replace Pere with Pchan and Dynamis with Salvage.

I think jamal and green should be banned. You two have nothing better to do that tromp all over people that disagree with you. once someone starts talking about bad pup is, Jamal jumps in and trashes the thread. he doesn't offer a sound argument against the posters he just bitches at them cause they don't like his favorite job.

and i fully believe that tristam green WOULD "stab someone if they dont start agreeing with him". he turns into a maniac when rdm's are mentioned and people say they shouldn't melee in exp parties. Myrrh asked him ages ago to prove it in parce but lo and behold he never answered up. he just goes on trolling. i think the board will be better off without them.

Really, what's the point of the rep system if the people doing something the community dislikes enough to get several red dots is allowed to stick around, continually doing things the community dislikes? It already holds no purpose because of this.
