Dig into your closet and pull out the bands you secretly love, but could never tell your friends, because they would ridicule you to death.

I'm pretty open about my love of Kelly Clarkson and Britney Spears, so you would think there wouldn't really be anything I could say that would embarrass me further, but you would be wrong.

I was kind of a huge closet N*Sync fan, and it totally carried over into Justin's solo career now. If my friends found out I (still) sing along to N*Sync songs, they would murder me to death.

And Ricky Martin. Every time one of his songs came on in public I would have to fight the urge to dance with everything I had.

edit: actually i guess Coldplay or that's his name? not sure why he gets tagged as gay music or whatnot but his songs are nice, haven't kept up with music though in a few years

Creed. I let on that I was a huge Creed fan back "in the day" and even now in lschat one day and about half the folks tried to rag on me, while the other half said "f that, Creed was awesome" and made that first half feel dumb for trying to rag on me.

Other than that:

none off the top of my head, I'll edit as necessary.

yep, i happen to own EVERY HANSON album up to 3 car garage.
When mmmbop came out i was a huge fan, then my grandfather died and "With you in your dreams" became one of my faves.
I had t-shirts, necklaces, videos. And when they first came out i thought that keyboardist chick was HOT!! (yeah i know its a guy, i found that out after i said in a group of friends "HEy that chick in hanson is hot" to which they replied...thats a guy, i never lived it down so once i got out of Jr high i never told anyone about my time with hanson)
and sadly now that ive brought this up, i wanna listen to em since i havent in years...

Edit: wow i even remember songs word for word without listening to them, i just randomly started singing one of the songs after i posted this lmao

I can't say I'm a fan of the group..

But I loved the song Buttons by Pussycat Dolls. :crazyest:
 
I have an old collection of Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park cds. I just can't bring myself to throw them out, but I don't listen to them anymore. Not at all.

I also have a bunch of old Backstreet Boys, Hanson, Nsync, and various other boy bands cds, but I'm not embarrassed by those.
 
I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan, but am completely open about it. I also listen to various international artists, but am not really ashamed of it.

There's a lot of music I listen to that others would definitely be embarrassed about lol, but I just don't give a damn.

Tristam: Anyone who says "Creed is awesome" is an utter fool. I'll let you enjoy your closet Creed addiction, but will call you a dirty little hooker and hate you forever for thinking Creed is awesome.

Shyrra: You shouldn't feel shame about liking MJ. His music is, relatively speaking (mainly comparing to creed), awesome. Just because he likes to share his bed with little boys doesn't make his music weak.

Hey, good music is good fucking music, no matter if I dislike the lead singer and his rapid spiral into self-deprecation and lunacy.

Truthfully, the dismal sales of Scott Stapp's solo album is probably the best thing that could have ever happened to him, since he effectively shut the fuck up about how great he is after that.

And Alter Bridge, although not entirely my cup of tea, is kicking ass and taking names, or so I hear.

(Mark Tremonti is a fuckin' killer guitarist).


Btw, these are the two musicians I am actually embarrassed to say I like(d):

- M.C. Hammer
- Kris Kross -- I own their debut album, although I haven't seen it in like 10 years.
 
when i got my very first cd player my parents got me the first brittany spears cd with it

man i look back at that and feel really really insecure with my sexuality about that XD
 
Norah Jones, Dido, Sheryl Crow. They all just have a sexy voice. They could sing the ingreients in toothpaste and I'd like it.

The B52's ... I dunno, I like their gimmick or somethin I guess. Leave me alone.

Crash test Dummies. Strange canadian band, mainly known for "MMM MMM MMM MMM" and "Peter Pumpkin head". Peter pumpkin head is the only song I have ever heard by them that I don't like. It was on the "Dumb and Dumber" soundtrack.
