Well just been thinking (yeah rare XD)
Now people going back to college and have less time to play ffxi, you think they will go back to bandwagon jobs for the quick invites to get most exp/hr and less LFP time?
As was thinking then like drg etc would get even lower in numbers.

Any one got any ideas about this

I don't really think we'll see that many more "bandwagon" jobs. Plus not all "bandwagon" jobs get invites fast.

People are giving up on the idea that jobism is going away, and that the developers are going to fix the inequalities, so I expect bandwagoning to increase. I'm leveling warrior right now, because I'm tired of it. People are going to have to sit in the **** they created, when all that there is lfp'ing are nin, war, rdm, and bard.

Then again, that's heaven to some kiddos.

"bandwagon"
hate that word. With this game as old as it is now, can you really call any job a "bandwagon" job?
P1: "Oh, you're just leveling that because everyone is."
P2: "No... I've got 6 75's. It's a change of pace and its fun."

Agreed... no such thing as a bandwagon job..

Except for MNK.

The only people on the Job Bandwagon are the ones you hear complaining about how much they hate WAR/MNK/NIN/BLM/BRD/RDM/etc and are leveling it to 75 anyway. Or suck HORRIBLY at it like most BLUs.

Yeah anyone who levels Monk is a bandwagoner......especially the ones who leveled it as their 1st job.

Im refering to the ones who level it because its an almost guarunteed spot in endgame. Sorry for being unclear.

That's sure a wierd way to spell BLM.

You are a tool if you think being a monk gaurantees you a spot in end game. People leveled it so they could merit fast and get the gear for it. There were two factions, A) mages who wanted to get the cool Sky gear, B) Melee who already had the cool gear and leveled jobs that could use it.

I was going to be the second. I had gear cause of RNG and was leveling WAR, the SAM, then MNK.

MNK can chi blast, and thats about its role in end game. A RNG dotting, BLM, or SAM are easily more useful in end game than MNK ever will be as far as DDs go.

Yeah, Mai and Meeze are right, MNK is kinda sucky in endgame. The only place monk excels is in exp, since we never get to melee anything and chi blast gets resisted quite frequently and with the 3 minute recast it's not considerable damage.

Not entirely true. Get to 'melee' grand wyrms and such with SATA Full Swing (though can do that on anything for better damage than chi). And I've had some pretty impressive numbers at the end of a god kill from Chi Blast, when the fights were over 9 minutes long.

Monks guaranteed deal in end game is a shortage of patience when you've wasted full boost because someone doesn't want to drop out of the alliance when you're ready to blast. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I'd have no problems leveling a bandwagon job if I had little time to play this game.

I'm not gonna want to come home, go to my PC and want to sit there for 6 hours + just to get an invite. Hence why bard, and other such fast jobs have appealed to me in the sense that I'm wasting less of my life :p

I began leveling Blu because its the most addictive job in the game, lol. Also can be one the most complex, which is probably why you see alot of bad ones out there. I myself am just trying to get a handle on what spells to use with CASATA, was having bad results with Death Scissors, but later I realized it was probably because we were killing tigers(beasts), and DS is a vermin spell.

Btw, <3 Magic Fruit, with /whm and light staff, my cure highs were 377hp at lvl 59.

for once, me and meeze agree on something, btw im part B

i just lvled mnk because its fun, i have NO intentions of using it in endgame, i like sam a lot more.

I am waiting to see how formeless strike and the new chi blast TP nerf, will affect monk at endgame. If you consider than endgame is only sky gods, sure monk is not that effective. But if you have ENM, Sea, BCMN, and other nm lol chi blast is a must. hundred fist, Chi blast claim, Tanking some mobs, DOT...
